@dcrimmen Sure Dave, my pleasure, been wanting to play this for a long while. Thanks for following up with those who comment on your song. As you probably already know, YT is a community of people and communicating with viewers of your work is a good thing. As Ringo would say, it's all "peace & love". :D
@karenmuenchen Thanx Karen, I work hard at my songwriting and have been blessed to have great musicians like Sal, bring my thoughts to sonic life. Thanx again.
Hi Sal, just read the description. Okay, I haven't had any coffee yet. :-) It was Bill Shaffer on Bass. For all you Rock 'n Roll fans, songwriters and just music fans in general. Sal is absolutely correct when it comes to the song. The song writes itself as well as plays itself if you know what I mean, we just sort of guide it along. The groove comes first on any instrument, including throat, I mean vocals :-)
Oh I almost forgot, you can now download all my songs at CD Baby & iTunes. Sal plays on about half of them. So if you're a big fan of Sal's playing, like I am, here's where you can hear more of him,and me :-)
@dcrimmen Good info Dave. I could add that to the description. You're cracking me up about the devil rock. I recall that song you did that had a line about the "devil's music". You should have seen what other comments my comment generated...I had to delete them as it was getting out of hand.
@rhythmanticYo Sal, yeah you're playin' on that song too. It's called "The Devil's Music". You should have heard my sister Arline on the phone when I told her I was writing that song. I had to explain that NO it's not about the "Devil". "The Devil's Music' is what folks were calling Rock 'n Roll in the 1950's. It's about that historical fact. Now it's her favorite song and she plays it for all the folks in her church and now SHE has to explain the song. Funny thing, Gospel music IS R&R's roots.
You Sal, God Bless you and thanx for covering one of my songs. Can I really use the word covering when you're the one playing on the track in the first place? :-)
@dcrimmen Sure Dave, it's good to share your music and I've been wanting to "cover" this one for a long while. Yes, you're right about the title, I'll change it.
@viniboss0 slipknot psychocial ? hmmm, I have one sister who feels this song is very negative and it's really not. The song is about forgiving YOURSELF. You can't change the past and, at those times in our lives, we have to remember that we all did the best we could with what we had at that time. There's no greater gift of love than forgiveness and you can't forgive others until you forgive yourself. That's what I felt when I wrote the song and still fell that way when I perform it to this day.
@zimmy707 Thanx and Thank You again Sal, for posting this.
