Im a freshman lol, so i dunno haha :D Dang why is the school so crowded? I go to Beast and theres no way even close to that many haha. Tbh east is nothing like what i expected for hs. I expected kids like getting beat up all the time, cliques etc etc, but tbh theres none of that, which is good
ur right man. it does just seem to disappear. sometimes i go through my facebook friends and delete ones i don't really consider "friends" anyone. then it hits me - i'll prolly never see their faces again if i do this. lol.
I probably haven't been out of high school long enough (five months), but it doesn't feel like anything's changed for me. I go to USD with one friend from high school, I have two down at Wayne State, and a few in Omaha and Lincoln. We see each other on a regular basis, despite Vermillion being almost three hours from Omaha. The only thing that seems to have changed is that we don't see each other as much, and there's more distance between us.
undermotivated and ill-performing...That resonated with me! I am exposed to groups of adolescents in an upscale high school in Guadalajara Mexico and it is amazing to me that the majority have little to know interest in their academic subjects, in studying outside of class, of taking notes and being prepared in class or for exams. It is all social, lots of drama. The A-B Ss were the majority, too. Now it seems the C-D Ss have taken over and the classes/exams are easier. lol After HS? No contact.
I really enjoyed high school. You're right about real life beginning. I have stayed in touch with only a few friends from high school. After graduation, everyone sort of went their own way. Some went on to college, others went into the military and some began working on careers.
I hung out with guys who were in most of my classes most of the time or with the cool kids, but didn't feel comfortable coz I was shy around pretty girls. Or with the rockers talking about music & occasionally with the smokers hiding behind bushes down at the oval lol or the computer nerds exchanging Commodore 64 games..But out of school I hung out with local friends who were all older &we went surfing/skating. Basically left school & only bumped into people from school occasionally.
