Fritz frequented 2nd position and for most of us, that's hard. Let us take heed, and learn from such a master as our Fritz. 1 to 3 isn't always the way to go. Sweet tones abound on D instead of A. Don't forget Me!! i'm in u'r horse hair & catgut!!
