Nothing inherently, but if you install a military junta to maintain the status quo & the positions of the privileged elite & train them to torture & murder leftists, union members & anyone calling for higher wages, so as to improve business & investment climates, then it is right wing.

Totalitarianism isn't necessarily right wing of course, but Imperialism most definitely is. Subjugating another country for profit is Imperialism. Subjugating a country for other reasons, isn't necessarily.

however, if imperialism is right-wing, then what is free-market capitalism (which cannot be imperialist, nor corporatist). imperialism is the pursuit of wealth through state. corporatism is pursuit of legal advantages through power of the state.

Very hard question to answer for many reasons, but I'll try.

Firstly, putting the concepts of say Anarcho-Capitalism aside, the theories of Free-market Capitalism developed as rhetoric to complement & cover up the reality of the nanny state for the rich.

There is plenty of talk about free-trade from the US government for example, but the reality is that Corporate power has a virtual monopoly on resources. They also receive massive subsidies & bail outs paid for by the tax payers.

80% of the companies listed in the top 100 of the Fortune 500 received State Subsidies at one time & 25 of them were saved by total collapse by bail outs.

Companies also profit from public money through covert means, such as military spending. For example, the Pentagon system is used as a huge funnel of public money into private industry.

Look at computers: They were paid through the R&D stage in the 50's with approx. 80% public money, then handed over to Corporations to profit from.

Many inventions, like satelites, the aeronautical industry & much of electronics were paid for by the public through the military system.

In this sense Free-Trade is a fantasy notion only to be imposed on the poor struggling masses, but not on the rich ruling elite.

Secondly, if you look at countries around the world where 'free trade' was imposed by strict IMF & World Bank regimen, their economies eventually collapsed.

If we are to believe the vast wealth of documentation by scholars such as Chomsky et al, this 'free trade' regimen was imposed purposefully to crush the countries into non-competive submission.

It's okay to preach 'free trade' & every man for themselves if you are rich & already on top. Who has the power to compete with you?

Free Trade in reality, exists to maintain the balance of power between the privileged elite & the landless peasant majority. In this sense, it is very right wing.

well you should look at NAFTA (an agreement between USA - Mexico and Canada)

in wich is said that the importing taxes (known as aranceles in spanish) will be reduced or eliminated.. letting the free market! (WTF!)

BUT in fact the result is that the agriculture of mexico dissappeared... because US subsidies their own agriculture... so the US products go to mexico with half price.. (with no importing taxes) so mexicans buy US products...

millions of peasants in mexico now are in the streets...

nafta is not free-trade to me, free trade is the ability for me to do business directly with you without our governments interfering (tariffs, etc). Can we do this under Nafta? no, only corporations can do this, i know because my family lives in 2 of the 3 countries you mentioned. i still pay huge 'fines' when i bring things back and forth.
