Thats not that loud. The 727's that FedEx currently flies are all hush-kitted. They have to be or they wouldn't be allowed to fly. You should have heard these things pre-hush kit. They sounded like a never ending roll of thunder. I grew up about 7 miles south of EWR. These planes were a constant in my life.The good ole' days.

Nice catch! Up here in Portland (Maine) the FedEx 727s take off between 9PM and 11PM every night, and they certainly can wake the dead!
