Panic is defiently next on my list (of favorite bands). Pretty. Odd. is going to be a really good album - maybe even the Infinity On High of their career. I'm glad they're doing Honda Civic Tour this year.
People, why do you want bands to put out the same kind of album all the time? Yes, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is a great album, but really, a band has to grow beyond their first album. Music is art, and as with all art, you have to experiment. And do you people really want them to just release the same kind of album over and over again? Because that just gets boring and repetitive. And seriously, this is a great song. Broaden your musical horizens people, and open your eyes.

Night in the afternoon makes no sense...They said before they even started working on this album in an interview with Rolling Stones that they said it was going to sound totally different. No one wants to write the same record twice. The last band to keep the same sound that it was okay. Was Blink 182. But they wanted to change their sound. I love the whole Beatlesque sound to it.

Not only that but it seems that most of the fanbase from what I know don't want a repeat of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, but fans that hate this new music want a repeat of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Panic! said that album 2 would be a continuation of the kind of musical style of Build God, The We'll Talk because that's the whole bands favorite song. Plus most bands write about how much it sucks to be a band when Panic! are instead writing an album people can relate to more.
Couldn't agree with you more! I got yelled at recently for saying that this album was sounding like it'd be much more centered in real life relationships.
This seems back to the basics of life and I really like the switch. It seems very honest. I loved Fever, but its nice that they're switching from big theatrical references to other works, to real emotion.
I really like the style. These guys know what they're doing, the fans just need to relax and trust them.
I just know Panic! have more time this time around to perfect their songs when last time they were rushed. Panic! made music so good the big bands took some of Panic!'s style and now Panic!'s going to change their sound once again completely new and blow all the critics and fan away and they'll be like "Don't copy us, we'll beat you everytime". Ryan said that the lyrics were going to be "a love story" and "a fairytale for adults" so these people knew what to expect.

Wow. Brendon's voice has improved so much. When they played on New Year's Eve my dad was like "You like these people?!" and I also watched on the internet an mtv performance or something and I was acutally kinda embarrassed for them. Wow. Brendon's voice has improved so much. When they played on New Year's Eve my dad was like "You like these people?!" and I also watched on the internet an mtv performance or something and I was acutally kinda embarrassed for them. This is before I was obsessed with them so after a little while I didn't care that they sucked sometimes. Just think, if he can sound this good live, think about what a recordiing studio can add. (:

I'm just happy ALL my lyrics were right, I mean every word, some people thought for some reason it was "Down to our feet" instead of "Tell me what we need from people" which I thought was funny because I knew I was right.

I heard "down to our feet" again. I don't even think there's is room within those few seconds where the line is placed for "tell me what we need from people" or even just "tell me what we need" to fit.
