this product is gonna fail. the reason why is because you have to make specific games like rail shooters and maybe FPS games and maybe some motion games for it to work. But the thing is that the majority of people don't like to move around to play a game. players like to sit down and press buttons. just look at the six axis motion. it sucked. keep it simple sony. the only one that seems worthy is natal because it uses your body as the controller. now thats impressive.

Natal - you basically described it pretty well yourself, no one cares to move around and dance infront of a camera like a fricking idiot. Maybe it's impressive, but Microsoft has claimed a lot of things, yet ending up being worse than actually hyped for.

You have to make games specifically for Natal as well as for PS Arc, which is why Natal won't be any better than PS Arc in that direction. Keeping in mind it's Microsoft, it'll probably cost a lot too like other accessories for 360.

That "dildos" ball is actually a visual tracker. the Wii is a completely different technology. This is the most accurate and superior solution i have seen for hand held gaming controllers.

i wish they would make the knife better like by allowing you to swing the wand and then chris swipes the knife and so if you lift the wand over your head chris does the same that would make the knife way more user friendly, make knife runs more interesting and would be a major addition to the game that would make the knife usable in normal combat and make it surpass guns in certain situations

I completely agree - although I don't like the Wii's hardware limitations, I really enjoy the way that shooters can be played on it. I much preferred Resident Evil 4 on Wii to Resident Evil 5, simply due to the more accessible and intuitive controls. With this, I am sure that Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition will become my favourite Resident Evil of all time! :D

I fully agreed. I was happy to hear that the old fashion of RE roots is coming back and a woman is a part of the PSWand team for RE5 Alternative Edition. I haven't seen any women working on HD consoles until now but maybe cause of the motion controller. Motion sensing hype started with DS and moved it's way to Wii and now PSWand for HD. If more women/girls are working on Wand games then PS3 is started to get back it's casual trademark it had with original PlayStation and PS2 in Japan.

Interesting to see that at around 5.20 into this video you've got 4 characters that all look the same. Acceptable last generation but not really now. As both a Wii and PS3 owner I'm not sure that motion control schemes are the be all and end all of video gaming. Having the wand in one hand and the Dual Shock 3 in the other seems clunky. The Dual Shock was meant to be held in both hands so I doubt I could play this game for long sessions at a time. I'm still interested to see how this comes out.
