@MrJon213 I'm not sure what your saying but if you hold the select then a bunch of settings will appear. Scroll through them and find "l/o output" I think. I think it controls the output level.

@cregxy face plate yes. wire harness no. harness arre cheap. go to bestbuy and match the car to the harness and all you got to do is match the colors of the harness to the stereo harness. and over course it comes with a face plate or else it wouldnt work lol

@b009l lol i know the head unit comes with its own faceplate but i mean the trimming kit for your car..my car has a double din cassette player so i cant just install the new single din stereo without having a huge gap in my dash board, i need a trim kit to go around the head unit just like the guy in this video..you see that tray under his head unit..thats apart of the trim kit, its not factory....and sonicelectronix offers that and the wire-harness for only 5 more bucks.

i got the same deck and i love it it was easy i install car audio myself and like you said just getting the harness is the best way to go when doing it yourself other wise you can dig your self in a big hole

i just bought everything you bought today. same radio and everything and i was wondering what you were suppose to go with the wires that go to the fuse box.. i believe its a yellow and red wire do i need to go through the fire wall or what? i have an accord btw

i dont remember its been a year, but i think you dont have to do anything with those wires. all you have to do is get a wire harness, connect all the wires to the same color and plug it in and your good to go.

This stereo is awesome. Hooked this up in my 2000 c230 w/ pioneer speakers/ 800 watt amp + 12in sony subwoofer... AMAZING! The install is quick and easy, just get a harness w/ a wire crimp.

I got the same radio, it came with the car that i bought , how do i take the radio out with out damageing it so i can hook up an amp? The installation kit looks like a pain in the ass to take out the radio.

unplug the battery so you dont blow a fuse. and pop the center cousel off. but you have to unscrew a bunch of shit. if you got a video camera record everything so you dont forget how it goes. watch this video (How to install a new radio in a 2004 Honda Civic 1 of 3) its on youtube

I got it. The car I got is a 2001 Chevy Cavalier. The people who had the car before me,who installed the radio cracked the instrament panel because they did not know what they were doing. It was basically pretty simple. I installed a very old power acoustiks 660watt amp, going to some brand new 12" comp pioneer speakers 800 watts. I got an old band pass box, need a newer box its letting to much air out of the corners. Teh speaker's still hit good. I want to get a newer amp.

one thing i dont like bout this headunit besides the non color choice text is it has a very very high sound floor. you have to hit 30 voloume before it starts getting loud... thats even all gain max on my unit x over etc etc.

this isnt true for mine, i have the same one as in the video, and mine starts to get loud at about 20. when i turn it up tho, i put it at about 23-25, and standard listening I have it at about 16-18.

I put a jvc in my 2000 dodge intrepid about 1 1/2 months ago. it costed about the same you mentioned for this one. i think its the exact same one. lol , it rocks ,anyway, i rock my lil infinity system, i am upgrading soon and getting two 10' pioneers or two 10' xplodes, probably pioneers. lol . i don't think i am gonna get a 20 dolla roadmaster from walmart though even though its tempting , because, they look fun for cheap speakers but yea i think i got the same cd player as you.

well yours must be different cause my only has one color, but i can make it dimmer. just hold select and scroll to dimmer and press up or down to change it.

It only has one default color. To get the song name to show press the top right button that says display. Keep pressing it to find what you like. and yes im going to get some new speakers for my door, maybe fusions cause I heard their cheap but have good quality
