you can randomly do this with your mount in the regular game too. nothing new.

^_^ you can do this before a lagwave on a private server...
you can see that vids on youtube with underwater mounts are no longer that 20-30 seconds(lagwave time until server disconnect)...

well my comp froze up but i was still on my mount and could still walk..... it was a song already on my comp BTW this is b4 mounts could go into water
