try letting the battery die, let it stay dead for a day or two then plug it up to your pc.

i did this (actually i had it dead for a few months till i got tired of using a cd player & tryed to use it from the main songs playlist) & my ipod nano's backlight worked again, i'll try to post this evrywhere so more people can try this.

i got the same problem but my problem is that i have a backlight its when i turn the brightness up past halfway the screen goes dark....anyone know why,,,if it was the coil it woulnt work at all, is there anything alse that could cause this issue
