I think the video is sped up a tiny bit, but even if it is his playing is brilliant. He is a true child prodigy. His attention span and concentration must be way ahead of his years to learn all this. Not to mention his co-ordination. He was using all four limbs independently drumming at an age when most kids did not even have control of their bladders. My son who is 7 has been very inspired by him. He has been playing for 1 1/2 years and is good for his age, but Igor is in another league.

No, I don't think it's sped up, bro. This sound of the "fast" drums is just the result of the fact that the boy is playing the electronic drums. You can reprogram the pads in e-drums so it will feature any sound you want, be it high-sounding techno drums or normal rock drums. On 0:17 the boy has just reprogrammed his pads and it's got this higher sound. He's playing awesomely fast.

He's amazing. I'm a big fan of Igor Falecki.

He's not gifted, he's not special, nothing like that. Teaching a child at his age or younger is easier and consider he's been playing for 3 years his skill level is reflected by how long he's been playing for. So don't feel like you suck or he's meant to drum.

Listen to the pitch of the actual PADS being hit. The tap tap tap sounds. The pitch goes up because it's sped up, and then it's slowed down again.

Regardless of the pitch of the drum sounds, the tapping itself goes up in pitch because of the playback speed. :)
