  • I like the flashing light that signals when to go instead of watching for the door is open

  • that a paid department?

  • @hondaxr8013 Yes, FFX County is all career personnel.

  • what is that yellow hose that comes from the ceilling and it is plugged to the truck on the left for?

  • @Zantozzzz It is for the exhaust and all the exhaust goes through the tube outside so it doesnt smell like deisel in there

  • @Zantozzzz the yellow hose is for the exhaust to vent if the door is closed as is usually on the right side of the apparatus and there as also usually an electric cord plugged in on the driver side to keep the computer and the battery charged and those just pop off when they leave the station

  • Man I love this job hopefully Fairfax calls me soon I would love to get on the job with them

  • we need that blinking red/green sign at my bay, last nights crew went hit the bottom of the door responding to a cardiac arrest

  • For everyone who is complaining of the response time, TL440 is responding with an engine company (that is closer) to a fire alarm. They do not need to rush out of the station and injure themselves

  • thats truck is sexy

  • wooooow that`s a hughe rig sweet truck god bless every member of that department and their rigs. what type is that rig ?

  • @TheEMS41 it`s Pierce I can see ggg :)))

  • nice LED Door clear advisors. Whered you get em at? Wouldnt mind having a set for myself.

  • Huge Rig

  • sweeett rig

  • some people just don't understand

  • i see some type of uh pole strapped to the fire truck on some vids, but it drops when the firetruck drives off?wats that used for?

  • I think you are talking about the vacuum hose, it is for the exhaust on the rig. The rig has a hose that is connected to the exhaust pipe the hose is connected to a large HVAC system that turns on when the apparatus floors open or you pull down on the vacuum hose. It keeps the smoke out of the station's living quarters. I like them when they work, but they break a lot! I have spent a lot of duck tape on those damn hoses! lol hope this answered your question bro! stay safe!

  • Its called a plymo vent, its hooked up to the trucks exaughst when it enters the bays to reduce and capture the harmful fumes, keeping the house and the bays clean

  • that is to charge some things on the trucks.and such

  • exhaust. helps keep fumes out of the station house while engines are leaving.

  • some states are law required to have those. they are pipes that suck out bad fumes from rigs. since not much air moves thru the bay they have to have them.

  • 1 minute and 31 second isnt a long responce time

  • nice truck

  • thats because your a JV

  • wtf is a jv?

  • Jolly Volley- its sort of a diss on the volunteers. People who live and breath for calls. You rush and you want to get into action without taking your time to plan and slow down so nobody gets hurt, most young firefighters die because of carelessness on the job or responding. Because they get too excited.

  • Its true that there is no reason to rush around and go blasting out into the street for every single run. I don't see why you have to make it about being career or volunteer. Way to keep the house divided with your dipshit point of view. Now go back to "work" and eat a few more pork chops while you wait for your next fire alarm.

  • im volunteer, professional, but not entirely paid, i do have losap.

  • @mcrking35 Every vehicle should warm up, for at least a minute before driving off.

  • @gmcbuses Yea. I posted that comment two years ago. I know this now. My bad D:

  • nice rig, long apron

  • Tower 440 and I think Tower 441 are down in Prince William County at a transmition repair shop. Right off 66 in Manassas. I pass them everyday.

  • You're Probably right. 40 has been using a reserve tower more then since they have had the Pierce. Saw them running the Reserve Tower yesterday.

  • A greeting by an Italian Fireman!!! look my videos!!

    bye Simone.

  • That is a very beutifull truck you guys got there! Very nice indeed. Oh and yes fairfax is all paid, My sis lives about 2 hours from there, comically enough her boyfriends dept bought one of there old straight sticks.

  • whats up with the flashing red light by the door

  • the little red light lets the driver know the door isnt open or up all the way, when it turns green he can go

  • It flashes when the garage door opens when it's the same with our firehouse.

  • its flashing because the door is not fully opened when its opened then it turns green

  • In our department we use a specialized technique called "Head out the window" and if we are to lazy we just go "by feel" : )

  • @Firfighter80 It flashes red when the door is going up then once the door is fully open it goes steady green, it lets the driver know when it's allthe way up.

  • Good vid, too. While I feel it's unnecessary, the X and arrow for the door are pretty neat.

  • Fairfax County VA. I believe is all career.

  • Nice federal q on that truck what a nice truck.

  • they move that slow so they dont get hurt responding to the call

  • it's a fire and you guys are responding that slowly???

  • Comment removed

  • nice tiller

  • ? i think its a tower ladder

  • its a tower ladder.

  • Yup.TL440.

Station 40 is beast. Can someone please get a video of station 40's equiptment uncluding Mobile Command center 440.

  • The FieldComm unit hasn't been at 40 for a while... Atleast from what I've seen.

  • Nice rig. Are you guys Volunteer?

  • there paid idiot only paid companies put their gear on the truck and not on racks

  • accually, some volunteer companies, like mine, do put their gear on the rig overnight

  • MANY volunteer companies (mine, too, and most in my county and other Northern Virginia ones).

  • o out where my company runs with not many companies put their gear on the truck unless they are running medical calls or there is a storm

  • the response time was absolutely terrible im happy i dont live anywhere in the area of this fire department

  • ...or not. NFPA says two minutes, and for a fire alarm? I wouldn't rush either.

  • nice. vid. thats a good idea for that signal for the garage door.

  • ok somewhat good

  • they have 2 min before they have to leave the house and then they have 5 min to get to the scene ;D so they can take their time and yeah that is some cool trucks :)

  • Here in Almere and in Amsterdam (Holland) they have to leave in less than 1 minute and they have to get in 3 minutes on the scene, but with a automatic fire alarm its the same like you say, 2 minutes to leave and 5 minutes to get there

    wouter.

  • okay ;D

  • cool trucks, though

  • take your time boys... not

  • sure take their time
