  • Nope to the garden hoe. i tried that. Not as easy as it would seem.

  • would have been easier on the back if he would have just used a garden hoe

  • Thanks. Oh well. Live and learn.

  • Long Handle floor scraper you would have been done in less than an hour and no sore back.

  • whats worse is having to do it over wood .... imossible to remvoe.

  • It's a concrete slab. The contractor I questioned recommended that I completely clear the floor then put the tile on top of slab.

  • why didn't you cement board right over it and tile on that ?

  • Best 1:37 of my life!

  • It did until I figured out that if you add a little bit of hot water, it comes right up. Of course that wasn't until about 5 hours in. As you can see in the video. If did help out when I had to do my bathroom. Same vinyl... Same process. And again. No asbestos. I checked with the flooring company.

  • That looked like it sucked!

  • Um. Yeah. Right. The house is only 12 years old. There is not asbestos in it. It was all paper and vinyl.

  • I HATE TO SAY THIS, BUT YOUR BACKING CONTAINED ASBESTOS, AND YOU WERE NOT EVEN WEARING A RESPIRATOR! YOU MORE THAN LIKELY INHALED A GREAT DEAL OF ASBESTOS. DID YOU GET THE FLOORING TESTED? YOUR WHOLE HOUSE IS NOW A TOXIC SITE. I AM SORRY FOR YOU.

  • Damn..... it took me 7 hours to remove 8 sf from the slab in my laundry room. The damned felt backing DOES NOT want to come up !!!

  • i have a whole house of this to do...... cant wait lol
