It is because of his innings against difficult opposition, in difficult situations, tremendous knocks against quality pace, swing and spin. Inzi was compared to Tendulkar till about '96. It stopped there as Sachin showed who is the boss.
He has left Inzi so far behind, Inzi is not even in the horizon.
Inzi is one great player, but he wouldn't make a team of All Time Greats.
On the other hand, you can't imagine a All Time Great team without Sachin Tendulkar.
He and Lara would make it to any team, anywhere. These two are far far ahead than any of their contemporaries.

With such lack of support from teamates he carried WI for a decade.Psychologically it affects a player when u loose on a streak for years.This might have lead to his inconsistency. I still think a fit Lara is more deadly than Sachin. Lara shuffles across the stumps that takes line out of question and tats y he is so devastating.
