what model is your sony reciever? i have a sony from the same series as yours. it looks similar. also i just bought energy cf-70's for the front and difinitive prosat 800's for the surround and difinitive procenter 100 for the center. i was going to get all difinitive but the energy's were on sale 1/2 price so i jumped on it. i use a pioneer 8in sub 300w. i hope it sounds good with my classic sony reciever str de-935
Wow,nice speakers. they souded great through my t.v. speakers. It's to bad that the new age music doesn't care about quality. it seems like some recordings are poorly mastered.
B&W are probably the best ones, but they are really expensive, Energy, JBL, KEF, etc are great too, but B&W is too expensive. If you have money and want a little better quality, go for them.
Sound is entirely subjective, but the only B&W speakers that sounded decent were the 800 series and that was way out of my budget. I find that their 600 series and CM series don't fare as well against the competition in its price range.
