  • I was at this show. There were like 200 people jammed in this tent and I stood right in front of the speakers on the left. So loud. So awesome.

  • Wow that was awesome!

  • during the first five minutes i cant help but picture a big robotic psychadelic T-rex just walking down the crayola sidewalk like insync with the bass line, just stomping out and jammin......fuck baked im crispy

  • @missihippie601

Can I have some of whatever the hell your taking? :-P

  • @evzt3 bho

  • fantastic!!

  • somebody ate the magic mushrooms if this is the best claypool jam ever...i've seen him do better with a hand tied behind his back and trey and stewart copeland playing with him...the silliest claypool band ever

  • these guys now how to have a good time

  • whitey killed doo-whop, then whitey killed disco, and now whitey kills funk. I guess rap is next...

  • what's up with Pinocchio face? Is he lying or is that a strap-on dildo he's wearing on his face?

  • 4:19 Fucking amazing jam solo of Les!!!

  • I have the rest of this jam in audio in my channel.

  • BUCKET Hero! and BUCKET Band!! coming soon

  • is it me or does bucket head look like slash??wow

  • Damn that bass is manly.

  • Drummer RULES \m/

  • They played together in 99 at Ozzfest... youtube it

  • @mickeyasnmouse

That wasn't C2B3. It was just Buckethead doing a guest spot with Primus.

  • @zeplinkid17 Actually this was C2B3, their first performance a.a.m.o.f.

  • @Falonefal

I'm well aware of that. I was responding to someone who said C2B3 played together in 99.

  • @zeplinkid17 Oh alright then, sorry, yea C2B3 didn't even exist in 99 :3

  • this must be the gay portion of the show--all those guys piled in there-damn

  • 2 people like Church's Chicken

  • I was at this show. Remember when bonnaroo wasn't gay? I do.

  • This is one of the fattest jams I've ever heard.

  • 6:54 History was made.

  • @forgottonwit Well, he has, but it's been intentional.

  • two people is still way too many to not like this... this is one of the greatest things i've ever heard. and these days we're lucky enough to have video so greatest thing ever seen aswell.

  • it is what it is

  • were you and DMac604 friends? you guys both have videos of this jam and it's almost as if you're filming next to each other. great vid man.

  • I used to not terribly like buckethead too much but the more of him you listen to the better you realize he truely is, a lot of his solo stuff has a nice groove to it too, however spacey and other wordly his soloing may be

  • @bonbonvon1 Really?... You have that kinda mentality?... Cool. I find it surprising that you read back far enough in the comments to see how "uninformed" I am and then you still had the time to post. I'm the bored dweeb cause you have enough free time to be negative? Sure that works, I suppose.

  • they should do a masks ball kinda thing, where everyone has to wear masks, that would be too cool

  • Buckethead for president! Brain for VP.

  • talk about a super group. Its like a pro bowl team only with musical instruments.

  • freestyle music at its best

  • Youtube comments are hilarious. I can't believe there are so many bitter, pissed off people in this world. If you hate the musicians then what they hell did you look up the video for?

Anyway, thanks for posting the video. I remember reading Bass Player in October 2002 and Les had mentioned this jam that took place at Bonnaroo. As soon as C2B3 put out word of an album, I bought it. However, I never thought I'd see a clip of the initial jam. I gotta get to Bonnaroo one of these years...

  • i'm so proud i was there @ Bonnaroo back in 2002 to see this live ~best jam EVER!~

  • mahna mahna

  • mahna mahna

  • fucking awesome!!!

  • YOU CAN DL THE WHOLE SHOW @ NUGS.NET

  • is it the era of artists with masks ?

  • @lightnessss buckets been wearing that since the 80s so its been decades....its more the era of guitar hero and rock band...how lame is that

  • he's so much fun to see....saw his bonnaroo 2008 set - WOW! loved every minute of it/

  • loved being there!!

  • awesome thanks

  • Claypool's tone is boss.

  • @gleucoma it must be 2 very sad souls i say

  • @gleucoma

    Claypool & Buckethead

  • @gleucoma The thumbs down button is right next to the play button. Stoners have blurry vision sometimes.

  • @gleucoma me and me friend and if you got a problem with that we can go backstage, but then you might need a new dentist

  • Incredible JAAAAAM

  • @cliffbooker Same here man

  • Man, I'd love to have this whole show.

I've looked far and wide thru the inraweb and still no luck.

    :[

  • at 8:00 wait to film the god damn guy whos playing the solo! jeez! it says "c2b3" not just claypool!

  • seriously

  • 8 yrs olds don't usually go to bonnaroo...

  • haha claypools wearing a red union

  • clespool is trying to be like clockwork.

  • @kofikenghis33 claypool is clockwork orange, recognize.

  • Seriously, I can't get enough of their music. It's soooo good! x)

  • fuuuck man that is seriously one of the must badass fucking jams EVER. I would shit my pants at that show

  • i dont like brain in primus(no one can beat herb)... but in the others claypool's projects he is great

  • @vitaobass brain is good everywhere, anytime.

  • this wasnt a very good jam

  • for the first time playin together it is

  • people who do that lack the ability to channel there super natural powers like buckethead does..he does not need to jam with "fat expression" becuse his playing is doing much more then "jamming with fat expession" will ever do..everyone can "jam with fat expression" but buckethead is the only person that can play the way he does faggot.

  • Excuse me .... do you know what your talking about? This isnt one of your little myspace blogs.... this is youtube. ur in the ring with the big boys now bitch

  • well said!

  • lol are u fucking serious, youtube??? big boys???? . youtube comments sections are nothing but trolls and retards. lol your just a fat ugly neckbeard posing as an internet toughguy. "In the ring with the big boys now, bitch"... hahaha that has to be some of the funniest, yet most pathetic shit i have read in a long time

  • My only question is why didn't he respond to Les? He's usually active in his shows. .-.

  • i meant buckethead obviously... long live praxis too. lucky ol' buckethead gets to play with Bootsy AND Les.

  • could of sworn bucket head was on stage a couple times with Primus in the 90's... he was in Praxis with LaMantia. Who knows... I smoked a lot of weed back then ;)

  • im pretty sure system of a down had a cd that came with a buckethead comic/cd

  • im not gona lie i dont really know much about buckethead honestly the 1st time i ever herd or seen him i thought it was a joke but this song is pretty funky

  • WOW.

that is all I can think to say

  • Thanks for upping this!

  • Blasphemy.

  • Bernie seems to be doin alright to me... Its tough to get it goin fully wen u have bass that heavy goin on...

  • Blasphemy!!!

  • yeah because too much talent is definitely a bad thing to have in one album lol maybe if they cut back on the talent levels it would be better

that's like saying there is too much good food for this lunch so I don't think it's a good lunch.

    but talent can't be overeaten.

  • He's got an envelope filter set up just perfectly, and possibly also a little wah.

  • I'm guessing many people here don't know who Bernie Worrell is. I just don't see many comments about him.

  • He wrote a ton of Parliament Funkadelic songs for George Clinton! :)

  • Is this a song too or is it just a jam they came up with at the show?

  • This is an improvised jam. Just playing off one another. Pretty amazing stuff.

  • It's just a jam, they didnt have an album at that point

  • These guys could teach us all so much about music.

  • What effect is Les using?

  • i think i just noticed my girl in this video!

  • she was making out with some dude?

  • Way better sound quality and video also !

  • !!! about 6:53 is where the video starts on the Bannaroo DVD, and it's rather EPIC !!!

  • Did he steal your girlfriend?

  • there is a DVD of This?!?!?!

    any concert video??..

to enjoy... better, whit beer, friends, and others stuff.. a a a a

they never will came to argentina... snif...

  • you object? it was my subjective opinion to this remark:

"buckethead is the main star here, you got like 2 shots of him whoever the gay camera man is"

im not disrespectful against BH, i just tried to point out another perspective.

"they're both"? arent we forgetting bernie now?

  • I also think Brain is a fantastic drummer, not too flashy, but a groove master.

  • you must like the brown album by Primus

  • I am, but Brain has actually had quite the impressive career in a few different bands and quite a bit of studio work.

  • he does crazy work with buckethead on Chicken Noodle Soup

  • i loved the brown album especially the drums also i heard that brain was in the band before tim was any input on that??

i really liked the kit they chose with the brown album its was like bonhams the bass drum had no hole in it sounded really cool

  • no Tim "Herb the Ginseng" drummer joined way before Brain. i also enjoyed the Brown Album.

yeah the kit was more loud and hard than others in Primus history. Bonham is one of the best drummers ever.

  • Take two hits of acid beebs07 and then try listening to c2b3 again. life changing

  • u sound like john stewart in half baked....have u seen the back of a 20 dollar bill stoned....lol....beebs is commenting on the music it self ur commenting on where the music has taken U...big differences

  • and for sure beeb can jam like that...

  • Sorry, my comment may have been misunderstood. I'm just saying that a fat groovy pocket develops and then Buckethead shreds all over it. Sometimes less is more.

  • No way dude... nothing that buckethead does in this video could be considered 'shredding'...... especially for buckethead... But he was kind of unnecessary I must say. Love him but he def wasn't inside that pocket you keep mentioning. lol... He should have stuck with the killswitch groove he had goin for a second there.

  • its because claypool and brain are just busting. they played together alot before this. bernie and bucket had too. but all of them together? i think its great for 100% improv.

  • no doubt

  • Can't disagree with this.

However the band and the tour that preceded really gave Bucket the light to shine.

  • @gehennaspariahs dude who ever called this shredding is a freak of nature and needs to be destroyed

  • @SkabCrowley rofl

  • @gehennaspariahs you don't have to shred to make good music

  • you could not be any more wrong, check out the 3:32 video in the related videos, you are sadly mistaken pal

  • @sublime88sublime That's not really bucketshred though lol

  • @gehennaspariahs that may be the case, but it still melts your face

  • @sublime88sublime Undoubtedly.

  • haha true dat

  • First time hearing c2b3. I guess I expected a little more. They've got a strong pocket formed, but nothing really developes. Still they are all talented musicians.

  • Its the first time they EVER played together, though the groove does get a little stale I think think they can be granted it considering we only have 9 minutes worth of their set.

  • summer camp is in chillicothe, illinois on may 22-24th. gonna be mucho headie. les and buckethead are also gonna be at all good...that is in west virginia i'm pretty sure.

  • buckethead and les gonna be at summer camp 09....maybe bring brian along and have a little c2b3 jam??? would be SO sick

  • where is summer camp and when?

  • Did you have this same vid or a different one?

  • great man great..this guys are just gods

  • Yea, that's why that band is called Col. Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains. You are a fucking moron. This camera man stealthed his camera into one of the best live shows on earth. You are an idiot.

  • i agree, i could give a shit less about the visual atleast we have pretty fucking good audio here, still it would be nice to have the whole prof bootleg of this show.

  • "buckethead is the main star here"

in whose opinion? ive listened to primus for about ten years, and i discovered B.H. here on youtube by accident a couple of days ago.

in my eyes, that makes claypool the mainstar.

  • your all wrong

its called C2B3 they are all amazing in there own right. Brain is a nasty drummer, Worrel is mad crazy on the keys, Buckethead is always nuts and Claypool is a ridicously diverse bassist.

quit your bickering and enjoy what this. pure music

  • LMAO Buckethead!!!

  • phenomenal.

this could have been on the toe jam and earl soundtrack.

  • wow. best game ever, mentioned on a video of some of the best music ever. epic.

  • Would you happen to be a mind reader, because this song screams TJ and E! This song really reminds me of those 2-dimensional and 2 1/2 dimensional days when video games were fun not because of the graphics just the game play mingled with their weird storylines and music.

    Awesome performance!

  • Bananas

  • This jam is really cool, and since these four artists have known each other collectively, this jam proves they all have astounding musical talents. Wish I knew about them in '04:(

  • what happened in 04?

  • that was when the had a amazing tour and i think there only one.

  • yea i would kill to be able to go to a c2b3 show

  • same here. they should have a reunion sometime soon.

  • maybe Bonnaroo 09 how fucking sick would that shit be seriously my mind would ASSPLODE!!!

  • These guys have been jamming since 1992 transmutation album.

  • great jam

  • "This is also history as this is the very first time these musicians play together and it happens to be on stage."

This is not EXACTLY true. Brain used to be a part of Primus so Brain and Claypool have jammed many a time, and Buckethead, Bernie, and Brain have all been members of a band called Praxis for many many years. So if your statement is any ammount of true, its that its the first time that c2b3 has jammed as the 4, not that its the first time any of the 4 have jammed together.

  • Don't forget that Buckethead played many a Primus shows in the late 90's.

  • i think that claypool was saying it for hype to make the show better which i think is fine.

  • Claypool said that this was his very first time playing with Bernie.

  • sorry i didnt hear that.

  • np.

  • awesome improv from all the musicians ...i'm fan about buckethead ...what a great guitarist .......

  • i luv buckethead as much as he luvs his killswitch:p

  • i almost came watching this.

  • Ear candy. :D

  • god how fat of a groove is this. more power to brain and les... bernie and buckethead know how to top it off perfectly.

  • i MIGHT recodnize this from the giant robot cd..????

T_T but there's so many buckethead cd's!!! (not a bad thing at all!) what is this song :-P

  • It's all improv!

  • yah, this isn't on giant robot.

  • This was professionally filmed....there's another video on here called "Buckethead with Claypool Bernie Worrell and Brian" which has the last 2:30 of this video as part of a promo for Bonnaroo and it was professionally recorded and mixed. The full pro filmed version of their entire set has to be somewhere.
