I have a direct question for the uploader. What are some of the requirements one would need in order to have a job taking care of lions or other exotic animals? As far as college education goes.
Great, so its a clean shiny lion, oatmeal conditioner no less. But I thought lions were smelly. Oh wait ,I'm actually seeing a cow that cant catch and eat a mouse. And I am talking about the lion btw.
see i dont agree with small cages. he wouldnt be pacing like that if he didnt spend too much time in there he's going insane. if they're gonna be domesticated go all the way.
@queensdiplomat02 I agree, but all my blood lines have been in the United States for over a 100 yrs. We would love to reintroduce ours back into the wild thru preserves, but poaching and the fact that feline aids is common in the wild stock. Living here with AC and heated houses, being hand fed a balance diet they dont need to travel the thousand of miles they need to to follow the food supply. I wish the world was a better place for all wild animals, but humans destory the wild.
@lionphotostudios i understand, unfortunately lions are big business in africa and are running out of places to naturally live their lives so i cant say i blame you. Take care.
Animaltrainers always say they would never expect their cat to attack them, but then you see old footage of the cat and them together and there is always a hint of agitation from the big cat.
The interesting part about this Lion is that he seems to be very mild tempered and docile.
He would not be dominate male lion in nature, but the curious and playfull lion...playing with anything...silly by nature.
@SteinRobert any trainer that claims their animal would never attack is an idoit. It is a calculated risk every time a human interacts with any animal capable of doing harm. Lion, horse, snake or dog. This is a very calm lion but still deadly. All my lions enjoy company making them the better choice to work with because of their inate social bonding. You can become one of their pride, but not any safer than if you were another lion in that pride, except you cant defend yourself as well.
Does the lion know what you're doing with him? I mean do you think he understands that you're washing him clean and that what you're doing to him may not feel terribly comfortable at the moment but is actually good for him. Is there any chance that such a perception exists in the animal and that's the reason why he *puts up* with it so wonderfully, that is apart from the apparent amazing bond between you and the lion.
btw. Male lions have the fastest kill among felines. less than 30 sec.always targeting the back of the neck . their killing instinct is triggered by whatever the reason they wanna have. This is pretty much the king & his little slave __ and u know that !!!! ; ) right ?
Finally, someone with a lion in this country that can actually handle him. I am all for exotic pets as long as they can be cared for in this manner, otherwise you do them a disservice and they belong back in the wild.
@jumbi100 He lives right outside my bedroom in a 2000 sq ft enclosure with two den boxes, one 8 x 8 x 8 which is heated in the winter and one 4 x 4 x 8 which is air conditioned in the summer
His enclosure is attached on the far side to his two girlfriend's enclosure which is a litte bigger so they can play together when he wants lion company instead of mine.
@lionphotostudios nice,2000 sq feet is plenty so im sure they are happy. Has the male lion ever become aggressive or dangerous when you are with him? I hear different stories from other lion keepers saying they can turn on you anytime while others say they have never had any problems.
@jumbi100 they can turn on you at any time, just like a house cat, except lions are much bigger. I never had a problem with him, so I trust him with my wife as you can see on other videos I post.
What a beautiful lion. He actually enjoys it. How many times a month are the lions giving a bath? How long have you been working with them? You are so patience and gentle with him.
this guy if off his head, who bathe's a lion, secoundly locks himself in the cage with it at the same time when lions notoriously hate water, u walking a dangerous line
@reaceuk86 I guy who has bathe the lion from 8 months old when he was taken in as a rescue. Lions dont hate water, they normally are not around a lot of it, but they swim very well. look for other video of cubs swimming
this is the nicest lion...i cant get my CAT to shower...and you are the bravest man ever...lock yourself in a cage with a huge monster...wow...he is SOOO CUTE!!!.... the lion i mean...
Aww he's liking it a little but is also like "is this necessary? -_-" I am very glad that you treat them well and are one of the people who don't treat them as pets, but as beings. Also nice to know that these lions are the ones being saved, I wish you could save all the ones being mistreated. Also I thought lions didn't like water much. like leopards or tigers enjoy water.
So what happens if he turns on you , he get destroyed? Do you see any problem with giving such a beautiful creature the mechanism to harm human life ,
I do not allow sticks, prods, whips, etc around my lions let alone guns. Everyone that works with my lions knows the risks and the rewards. No animal would be harmed no matter what happened. Yes they could kill a human, but that is not how they were raised, they trust that we will treat them with love and respect and I have rolls of film of them returning the love. We have had over 88,000 man hours with handlers in direct contact with up to 38 different lions and neither was harmed.
Unbelievable. How did he get this huge cat with sharp teeth and claws to behave like a house trained dog? How did he do it the very first time? Amazing bond and trust.
