Great behind-the-scenes stuff from an underrated movie. Thanks for sharing. As someone familiar with the Nelsonville area, I'm hoping you might be able to answer a question for me. Do you know if the "Mischief" scene where Gene rides his bike down the hilly street toward Marilyn and proceeds to crash into a parked car filmed in Nelsonville? I've read it was, but I can't confirm. Any chance you know? If yes, what street was it? Thanks again for the video!
I'm very familiar with Nelsonville Ohio, I recognize every bit of the scenery you shot. Great film dude, if you still live in nelville I gotta look you up
I was born in Nelsonville in the mid 50's and my father was the police chief there in that particular era of time. I have such fond memories of growing up there. My Aunt Carrie ran the Dew Hotel then. I used to go out on the balcony and watch the cars on the square and all the big teenage kids hanging out. It was a big thing on the weekends for the teenagers to park their freshly waxed and buffed cars on the square and just hang out. This clip brought back a lot of fond memories to me!
One of my all time favorite movies! I never knew it was filmed in Nelsonville, just remembered it said Ohio in the start of the movie. Thanks for the clip.
Great footage! I was a standin on the film ands run official Facebook sites for Doug McKeon and Catherine Mary Stewart. I have sent links to them both. I'd love to see the entire footage. What great memories
I loved seeing your video. I posted a web page called the Nelsonville Cross Story and would love to view longer videos of behind the scenes. I also loved the movie, and have watched it several times.

it's cool how nelsonville has not changed this part of nelsonville beside being up to date.

The fountain is on, and has been turned on over the last several years. They empty it in the winter, but it is filled and on in the summer months.
