OOps! Nevermind! The version I was talking about was - HP Mini 311-1000NR. It has Window XP but it only has the ION 'LE'... I guess thats why it was cheaper. This thing goes for $499!!! For that price I think I'll just buy a 14 inch Laptop! haha
I have this same netbook (actually, I have the 311 1025NR with three gigs of RAM) and Windows 7 and when I play HD content in iTunes it barely runs. Any help
And you, that's an ION LE, WITH it's graphics scaled down. Full blown ION can do better, on a more recent Windows OS. (For reference, the only difference between ION LE and ION, is that ION LE has dx10 disabled, and a few other features, regular drivers can be hacked to make an ION LE a full blown ION with dx10)
obviously. i have the same laptop, infact im using right now. but the processor is only 1.6 ghz and the graphics card can run a few games but it still the best laptop on the market. yes i have tried out other netbooks, and this ones got the nicest screen by far, and one of the only ones that can run HD at all. if you ask me its pretty good.
You bet. When I get one, I don't need gaming anyways, HD video though maybe. I do know that under Vista there's better performance, but that requires full ION, not LE, BUT you could hack the drivers like I said earlier.
I just bought this. I put 3gb ram in, but 1080p stutters. Anybody help with this? Shall i upgrade to windows 7?

This is great! But should I get the 'XP' version? Its much cheaper but I'm worried - I think M$ was supposed to stop support for XP this year??
