  • damn you suck. It's better to watch and learn than just dicking around and not learning anything

  • i fucking HATED welding shop in school

  • @XionUnjust It's more fun if you can do whatever you want.

  • @freddytk421 I dont like metal exploding all over the place :) Oxy-acetylene was horrible too

  • cool deal!! nice vid!

  • am i missing something or is that piece completely unprepared, rust/etc

  • @chizzy555 It's rusty. Stick can penetrate through rust and paint. Thats one of the main advantages of it. I would clean it though if it was something important but this is only practice for the camera.

  • @freddytk421 ah ok

  • @freddytk421 6010 can only certain wire can weld thru rust and wetness

  • @freddytk421 6010 can only certain wire can weld thru rust and wetness thats why it looks so shotty it spatters alot

  • Is this the same technique you used when you welded the 1/4" thick plate with the HF 80A inverter welder?

For the 16ga sheet, 5/64 rod - I've read you have to travel fairly fast. How far out to the right do you go before going back? Thanks.

  • Freddy....awesome looking beads! Is this the whipping technique? Seems like you move to the right then come back a little and so on. Does this have better or equal penetration to a regular straight stringer bead? Thanks for the video.

  • @duasdaisy I've heard it called stitching. This is what you do on the root pass. When the metal has a gap you do this so it dosnt get too hot and melt through. it has good penetration I don't know what has more. after you lay one of these down you go over it dragging a different type of rod for thick stuff to fill in the gap. this is a 6011 rod but I learned this on 6010 and that's for sure better penetration. I will do a vid of the whole process. I only do this and drag.

    These 2 r all u need

  • @duasdaisy A couple on here where thin 16gua sheet and 5/64 6013rods the rest where 1/8 6011 on plate

  • Hey freddy to answer your question about the amount of views you get with just a fox roaming in your yard.......to get more views just do what you did with the Cheweenie video to this one LOL.......J/K thanks for this video the sound alone is awesome.

  • @DustenDee That fox video got 65 views before it was even public. It was just uploaded private and I let it process before setting it public. I think it was a glitch that it got those views because no one should have been able to see it. The same thing happened with a camera phone video and it got like 1800 views on a glitch. in like a few hours. I think it was a glitch.

  • @DustenDee I don't think youtube counts embeded views anymore :( they don't have it in the insights and if it did these vids would have more than they do.

  • can u make a how to stick weld vid for newbies?

  • the puddle looks better when it is without the welding lens thing

    @freddytk421

  • you can see the puddle better without the welding lens thing
