Your FPV Beginners videos contain a lot of great information, but it is pretty hard to follow them since they are not organized so that they can be watched in order. There is a Part I and Part II, but then what comes next? In the playlist the third and fourth videos both seem to be Part 5 according to the text at the beginning of the videos. It is hard to tell what has been viewed and what hasn't. Most confusing, but thanks!
@paulphillipsffd spon on answer. well they won't be critics if they posted videos and did not bullshit other's work. its their job to criticize others for doing good work and they can find anything to bullshit their ideas. there is no winning from them. Such people can often be found behind computers with fat bellies, big glasses, eating by one hand, typing by other on many forums LOL
@flyingchimp99 yup but why 1.3G 1500mW Tx? remember more power doesn't mean more range. more power means more weight, more heat and more battery consumption. you can just get 24dbi Patch and mix it with Yagi or helical antennas to get more range out even with 800mW video tx compared to 1500mw. less weight on plane, less power consumption and less heat. cheaper too
I like your choice of plane but so you suddenly need an osd for fpv now eh? I don't think so Ali. And as for recommending goggles for a beginners setup at 4 times the price of a good monitor (and automatically excluding any bi-focal spectacle wearers) one way or another your very first guide to fpv doesn'ty appear to have been at all well thought out.
@WalneySkyland hmmm critics found me here too. I do not wanna argue here, as I have no time for it, but i have very good reasons to what I am doing. For sure none of the reasons in this world are good enough for critics. thanks for comments I am sure those are just common senses and people are smarter out there than we think
@cathburgerqueen normally people with glasses, remove the glasses to wear the goggles. also those with glasses who are not comfortable wearing goggles can go with small screens to view the video feed
@blackmennewstyle Thank you for the comment and the suggestion, I wish I could wear contacts but I only need glasses for reading and other close up activities and having to put contacts in and take them out a dozen times a day wouldn't be very practical.
@cathburgerqueen The more expensive goggle can be fitted with corrective lenses but I wouldn't recommend them to novices who regularly wears spectacles outdoors because of the complication to having to swap them for the goggles during the most fraught times of all namely take offs and landings. Furthermore, IMO anyone who recommends that complete novices do the whole thing through goggles (incuding landings and take offs) simply isn't safe to fly next to - no peripheral vision.
@WalneySkyland Thank you for your insights you might have just saved me a fair bit of money. I've just been watching a 2500 mAh lipo running my 200mW 2.4 gHz transmitter and 17" monitor for 90 minutes before the battery saver kicked in so given the price of goggles and the anticipated trouble using them I think go with the monitor.

how far can go with short range FPV??
rodher12 1 month ago
@rodher12 depends on your control range. Most good radios offer 1km to 2km range like Futaba 10C. spektrum like 1km. video can be upto 2km easily.
