  • The should be on Rock Band or Guitar Hero

  • drummer is awesome ..... great song ..... the energy .... amazing!

  • Ka-Boooom.

    Bob 1 with attitude.

    Alan Meyers... simply amazing.

    Mark is an absolute genius.

    The Casales... Yeah, Oh Yeah.

Devo was at their peak during this era.

  • More cow bell !

  • My most favourite song by one of my favourite bands :D

  • FUCK YEAH !

  • @javelinman7 Yes! Go to THE source for rare Devo material, Booji Boy's Basement... I don't believe links are enabled here, but Google and ye shall find.

And listen to the 30 second audio sample of Explosions -- you'll notice that Mark's voice is mixed far better!

  • Talk about a collaborative effort. No 15 minute solo's here [yes, I mean you Eddie, ya showoff]. Devo are the greatest!

  • can I get this whole show on tape somewhere?

  • Omfg, Explosions are the last song i would suspect to kick THIS much ass live - it really comes to life! If this is really the only time it was ever performed, its really a shame

  • This is utterly spectacular. Devo fucking rule

  • Can't help but think of this song every 4th of July, when people ooh and ah over the 'splosions.

  • Saw them last year at the Hollywood Race Track, it was a once in a lifetime chance, it only cost 8 bucks. It's the best show I've ever been to, devo rocks and sounds just as good as they did back in the day.

  • this is so fucking badass

  • Thank's for posting.A chilling track.

  • I wish the mixers would turn up Marks microphone - theres a buttoin called volume you know! But this is a great concert thats always worth a look.

  • Bob is so under-rated.He's an amazing guitar player.

  • where is Bob 2?

  • @jackerx Bob 2 is on the right side of the stage playing keyboards. He says "oh yeah" after Jerry says "yes."

  • @the one person who disliked it : i know where You live...

  • wish alan got to do whatever he wanted on those last couple of records...as new as drum machines were in the early 80s, he was just such a sick drummer.

  • best devo song ever created

  • LOUD SHOTS FROM THE BIG SPUD GUUUNN!!!!!

  • thanx!

  • Nihilism is awesome. :D

  • I can't believe they didn't keep this in there set list. It's a good warm up song, if not absolutely awesome.

  • Blast your Speakers apart with this tune!!!!

  • While I love DEVO, I must concur that this song is rather shit. Amazing drum work by alan though. Is that him on the studio version or is it a drum machine?

  • @LonelyAtTheTop79 Drum machine.

And dude, it's a song whose chorus is, AND I QUOTE: "We like/Explosions x4"

What part of that is NOT incredibly badass? (this song seems to be a base breaker...)

  • @LonelyAtTheTop79 i think this is a great track, give me this over most of their 80's output any day!

  • not true i saw them 82 in nyc at the palladium. and they performed it there.

  • 0:38 Jerry with very short hair !! funny

  • It may be that this song was only performed one time publicly for a reason !

that reason is simple... it sucked so bad even the 1980's we are Deaf and stupid- crowd .. couldn't stand it. and thats saying alot ! considering songs like.

Kids In America - Kim Wilde ,and I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) - Hall and Oates made the top 40 charts !

  • @poconose2 you're obviously NOT a true DEVOtee. Speak only for yourself, please. Now run along and find something shiny to play with while eating fish heads.

  • @poconose2 I love this song so much, so eat me.

  • We like explosions that leave you feeling good >:-)

  • i had no idea devo were this good..

    love it!

  • @MrMiister this song is from "oh no, it's devo"......a great cd. also check out the cd"freedom of choice".....they really are 2 great cd's, almost every song on each is good!!! you will enjoy them.

  • @dettigs thanks for the info dett, managed to got a few of their albums on vinyl for next to nothing, absolultey fantastic. im a DE-VO and never knew it , down with the subhumans! :)

  • Time for the Spudboys to do this song live again, with Josh Freese layin down the 16-beat!

  • This is a rare gem. They should play this song in the new tour!

  • I wish someone would upload a HQ vid of the vinyl version of this.

  • @WoodRatGirl O rly? I just so happen to have a camera and a vinyl copy of 'Oh No'. I'll try.... I actually recorded the entire New Traditionalists album out of boredom...lol

  • @JohnnyLovely2

Would you really do that? No pressure or anything if you don't want too LOL.

  • I've had this song stuck in my head today lol.

  • Wonder why they only performed this live once. I seem to remember hearing this song on the radio semi-regularly in the early to mid 80s.

  • YES!!! OH YEAH!!!!

  • damn! alan is tearing up that drum set!

  • i wish devo would re-do their old tours longer..i almost got 2 see the ones they just did recently but me being poor i missed out..again..i wish they did this all the time but with the release of their new album soon (hopefully in april says michael pilmer) they will be 2 busy =[

  • dude the new tour is going to revive 3-Devo!

  • DEVO rocks!

  • they need to do more songs from this album

  • I keep coming back to this - this is the most rockin' DEVO live song I have seen They need to add this to the set for the upcoming tour in 2010.

  • This, Gates of Steel and Worried Man are awesome live Devo songs

  • Totally agree.

  • Fantastic performance!

  • mark's voice sounds excellent

  • Al Myers is like the 16 beat king !!

  • @ProfessorIgor I believe that's Dave Kendrik on drums. Alan had left by the time Oh No It's DEVO was finished.

  • @rmaxinmass no way man, that's ALAN... come on, look at the nose !!! Alan has a big schnoz !!!

  • @rmaxinmass Yeah. Alan stayed in the band around three years after this. Then they got David Kendrick and later Josh Freese. Shame, because Alan is a face-melting drummer. This video is proof.

  • @rmaxinmass Alan left in '86 - this was obviously '82

  • jerry is hot!

  • Such a funky number, gotta love Devo!

  • i saw these cool dudes live earlier this year and they were so amazing

    still kickin as ever

  • wow bob is KILLING on the guitar. I had no idea there was a guitar line!

  • Oh that Alan!

  • YES! OH YEAH!

  • Awesome song!

  • And on the LP they turned Bob 1's guitar down. Idiots

  • Agreed.

  • Thanx for upload!

    Incredible!
