  • Can someone please tell me what a 'Honky Tonk Angel' is please?

  • @Strawberry7Lynn a honky tonk angel is a woman who hangs out in bars, looking for love in all the wrong places

  • I have 1 of her CDs

  • She sounds amazing.

  • The first lady of country music..Love you Miss Kitty Wells

  • She is and always will be an angel. My late fathers favorite singer.. I love you Miss Kitty

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS KITTY WELLS! We love you!!!

  • Happy 92nd Miss Kitty!

  • Kitty Wells looks as if she could be the housewife next door, but sings as if she's the featured singer in a choir of angels in heaven. Simply......beautiful!!!!

  • Long live Kitty Wells! She's 91 years young. We saw her live at Craven Corner in South Dakota which, sadly, burned to the ground just today after being open for 61 years!

  • THESE COUNTRY SINGERS OF TODAY COULDN'T SHINE KITTY'S SHOES.

  • I love it when country singers age but their voices are still powerful and great. I wish when Reba's 70, she'll still be singing and singing strong and powerful like Kitty here.

  • fabulous

  • Those eyes look scary, was she replaced by an alien?

  • @TurtleDove38 LET'S SEE YOUR PICTURE YOU IGNORANT MORON

  • living proof that ladys are like a fine wine they just keep getting better with age

  • I am cerazy about the steel guitar player she used here. I've been trying for years to do some of his licks but can't seem to get it down. Miss Kitty, my favorite since 1954 when I first 'discovered' her.

  • Now I understand what they mean when they say someone is a "national treasure!!" Miss Kitty surely is one!! A class act on or off the stage, she is the embodiment of country music. Love, love, love her!!

  • @LocalGuy56 AMEN!!!!!

  • Happy 90th Birthday to the Queen of Country Music!

  • it dont get no better, been listening to her since the 40s

  • its a shame that there isnt songs or singers like her anymore

  • Has Kitty hit 100 years old yet?

  • She was born August 30,1919. She is

    89. One great lady!

  • Best country song ever.....i`m in heaven when i hear this song....it`s so amazingly beautiful!

  • She sounds as great now as she did 40 years ago...the only difference is the inviroment has changed! She used to play the Grand Ole Oppry! (Excuse my spelling) I don't care where she plays...she is, and always will be, The Queen of Country!!! She's a God to country music!!!

  • This lady who started it all for females in Country Music will always be "The Queen".

  • Thanks for another live video of Kitty performing the song that started it all for her. Really enjoyed it! If you have others, would LOVE to see and hear them. Blessings! Mike (MoJoPiano)

  • nccountryboy90 - I also think it is a crying out shame that Kitty and Johnny have not been reinstated and weclomed back to the Opry as official members. They should ask them back with open arms, especially considering just how much Kitty and Johnny & Jack contributed to making the Opry what it "ONCE" was. I am really staring to get a bad taste in my mouth for the Opry! They continue to cut/limit the time that stars like Jean Shephard, Stonewall Jackson and others have on the program! Mike

  • I've heard her say on interviews that when they left the Opry it was during the PEAK of her performing career. They were expected to perform so many Opry dates on Friday and Saturday nights which are two of the very BEST nights for personal engagements. The pay for singing on the Opry at that time was next to nothing. Kitty was doing about 250 dates a year on the road at that time. So they decided to leave the Opry. Many said they would not make it, but it sure didn't hurt them with the fans.

  • a great performance from miss kitty. i was fortunate enough to be in the audience that day

  • You sure couldn't tell from this performance. She went from song to song without breaking and her voice still had that same "Kitty Wells" sound. Thanks for the comment. I am really glad you liked it.

  • @imyurs2 is kitty wells still singing
