I used to work for a cell phone provider and I know for a fact that youre full of shit. You switched to the iphone, therefore got another plan and didnt understand that because youre stupid. You had roaming fees, they got late and THATS why your account was cancelled. for unpaid high balance. fuck you.
i used to work with att wireless. the problem is that ATT has contracts with local providers to use their towers that costs. ATT usually swallows the costs but there is a provision in the contract that something over 60% of all your usage stays on your local tower which is based on your billing address. What ever this guy was doing was excessive. He did likely receive phone calls or paper notifications of the policy before they turned off his service.
Never heard of it in uk. I have £45 a mnth contract for 24 mnths. 1200 min 500txt a unlimited data plan. 3G conection with 7.2 mb per sec download speed. There is sum more free things but I dnt remember right now. Never get billed for more than 45 quid.
ok first of all they notify you...its not just one day opp they shut off my service...no they send text messages and phone calls even sometimes. and it is in the terms of service go online look them...hell go to tmobiles webiste look at them every company does it. and so you have a 300 dollar phone you have two options try to unlock it or sell it...its not rocket science

my service charges me 45$ a month, for 500 free mb of internet service a month (only when I dont have a wi-fi nearby, which I usually do, so I never use more than 300 of it a month), and free phone calls to the same provider, who obviously has the monopoly here because 80% of the people I know use it.
My contract lasts 1 year, cost me 100$, with which I got my iphone for only 30$ worth. Next year, if I keep the same contract when I renew, I get the new iphone gs for 30$ as well.

sprint did this to a couple hundred thousand of there customers. Also just a heads up there is a clause in the contracts that they can disconnect your service at anytime.
I think the government needs to provide much needed regulation for these service providers they are walking all over the consumers and will continue to do so as long as they receive no pressure from any substantial group. That's misleading, them stating that you have unlimited roaming. Go check and make sure there wasn't an asterisk referring ou to the fact that you have to do 75% of the roaming on their network. If there isn't then that's definitely misleading and false advertising.

i agree, you should check the terms of your contract. When you buy the iphone, they make you sign for 2 years. If you left them, they charge you a substantial fee. If theres nothing in it about them canceling you for the sake of their profit, you should be able to sue
I agree as well. Find a good attorney, and file a HUGE class action suit. There more people claiming this everyday. With the current internet communications and constant public presence through sites like YouTube, if you can't find a lawyer to sue them with, maybe you can team up with others who did or are going to sue. I was part of the class action suit against Microsoft/WebTV so I know it works. A contract entitles you to service. Even IMPLIED service/contracts should be honored.

so basically u had a unlimited nationwide contract and u were using to much of the unlimited features and were costing them more money then what your phone bill was? and they were losing money. so they turned off your service. that sucks. i been with cingular/att for 7 years getting my iphone this febuary.

I don't think that there was an implicit statement in the contract that they should profit. I think you may be able to have a legal case against them. I recently recieved a 20000 att data bill.

sprint did this to a couple hundred thousand of there customers. Also just a heads up there is a clause in the contracts that they can disconnect your service at anytime.

I think the government needs to provide much needed regulation for these service providers they are walking all over the consumers and will continue to do so as long as they receive no pressure from any substantial group. Come on sheeple these guys are building empires on our worn and torn shoulders and were complacent to do anything about it.

well that sucks for you but AT&T can close your acct. at anytime everyone who has AT&T read the contract we as AT&T can close a contract at any given time for any reason without your concent i love working for AT&T but yea try to sue we have attornys for this but the court will read the contract and seen where u signed it and we as AT&T will laugh at you man customer get fucked and we love it i get pretty good checks thanks for the money they we bill you for

at&t did the same thing to us, they took 500 dollars from us, and we didn't do anything, we didn't have texting, we had roaming, and the women was a bitch. i didnt get the money back, so now i have verison, with is way better get it.

Yeah, of all the people I know I have NEVER heard anyone say anything good of AT&T...I'm with verizon because everyone I talk to for the most part has it and so I get to talk to them for FREE and therefore have very cheap phone bills.

That's misleading, them stating that you have unlimited roaming. Go check and make sure there wasn't an asterisk referring ou to the fact that you have to do 75% of the roaming on their network. If there isn't then that's definitely misleading and false advertising.

Hi,thats sucks big time, but its true if u got an iphone and the internet or the service for the phone or the (Voice) provider its another carrier(T-mobile, Verizon, Sprint etc, ect..) they cancel your service, i already pass trough this the small lines on the contract stated that there must be at least like 75% of primary usage on ATT coverage, if dont they will gladly cancell ur service, since like prolly in ur case happnd, they claim to be the largest cov... but not the greatest.. cheers...

i agree, you should check the terms of your contract. When you buy the iphone, they make you sign for 2 years. If you left them, they charge you a substantial fee. If theres nothing in it about them canceling you for the sake of their profit, you should be able to sue

I agree as well. Find a good attorney, and file a HUGE class action suit. There more people claiming this everyday. With the current internet communications and constant public presence through sites like YouTube, if you can't find a lawyer to sue them with, maybe you can team up with others who did or are going to sue. I was part of the class action suit against Microsoft/WebTV so I know it works. A contract entitles you to service. Even IMPLIED service/contracts should be honored.
