@s2trash Charts will never correlate with how good music is though!
Granted the 60s was a much better time period on reflection of record sales etc but still its like saying Donny Osmond is better than the Elevators...
I probably would have loved this song back in the 60's, because as a fan of the TV show Batman, i think they used terms like Biff, Bang or Pow, alot during the fight scenes. That aside, this band was among the best the 60's had to offer, but unfortunately it didn't extend to a wider audience. If their was any justice, they would have been as big as the Who.
"Making Time" from the 1998 film Rushmore probably garnered the band more US fans than existed during the bands two year run in the 60's.
Supposedly "Psychedelic Rose: The Great Lost Creation Album" released in 2004 on Cherry Red Records (according to the Wikipedia page on the band) was it Is that the one you were referring to?
There was ment to be an album in the late sixties but have no name and still trying to find out more info to see if this is true as it was a Norwegian film ..if true .There was an Album called We are Paintermen only released in 3 countrys . Also they did some incedental music for a BBC2 Monitor documentary . Have uploadid a few tracks from Psychedlic Rose .
Top Notch!
