I love how gave sounds cute and disturbing when he's undead Rachel sounds sexy and scary, timmy was mocking and psychotic. Like you get your own badass personality when your undead.

That Steve Masterton part was lame. They should've told that bit from Louis' point of view and have Steve tell about the dreams he had all his life aferwards, in the small hours of the night, never really knowing where they came from. It's one of the most affective parts of the book after all the horror. In this version that Steve part is more of a happy touch which I guess I can see how it fits, but it's not King.

I just listened to this entire thing non stop. It was that good, it took 3 hours. I enjoyed it a lot. It makes me wonder what differences are in the actual book by King.

I loved the movie but it's been a very long time since I've seen it. If the rumors about a remake are true I can't help but think they'll mess it up somehow. I hope they keep it close and by the sounds of this Gage was pretty damn evil in the book. The movie really toned it down and this did too.

@limbdarkening I don't know. The book never reveals what happened next. I don't know if King has ever revealed what is his vision. He didn't go for it even in his movie script version for the 1989 film.

Louis has already gone mad, so he's turned out like the man who buried his son in the Micmac burial ground, and I bet he just lives out his life inside the house with Rachel, who has become a "dirty little secret"...just like her sister Zelda.

I just listen to the whole and its not much different then the Moive just longer and I personally wouldn't say its better then the movie just because probably the movie cut out some parts cuz it might have been to long-My favorvite scary movie
