My band is also playing the tanabata. sorry if im too mine. I wonder how long have the band been practicing this song its sound raw to me. raw = need more practice or it sound like side reading. the band is not following the conductor even in such a slow tempo, its messy, the solo of trp & trb is cannot make it (CMI). only the clarinetist section is not bad. work harder ............

I think this music need alot of balancing. Some part in the slow moment is not really balance. This particular put pressure on the 1st Trumpet player(s).

Trombone and Tuba not really together before returning the fast section.

On the whole the band don't really enjoy the music. The ending part is very strange also very strange.. I wonder is it according to the composer instruction.

It can think on the whole it is not really a easy music to play well.. Still it is a good job. Keep it up..

whole piece is too slow. I prefer it at faster tempo. Tempo Primo onwards was awful. not clean, balance totally out, not together.

Need balancing. Trumpets having pitching and control problems. Euphos/Baritones sounded good same with the clarinets and the saxophones. Piccoloist blew his solo. Flutes are weak. CAn't hear them 1/2 the time. Percussion is ok but needs more volume too.
