  • Just watched all of these series

Subbed, hope you come back soon

  • really hope that u will conitnue this series. im a newb to sc. and has a lousy lapptop. cant play sc2. :(

  • ArtOfStarcrat, where are you man? So many techniques to still be shown(the list from Kagatorium is a good one). Are you playing Starcraft II these days? Will you start doing videos for them?

  • @Requisition I'm really busy with "life" these days. I realize that my video series is incomplete which is unfortunate, as there were a few things I really wanted to do before I could consider ending it. I do play SC2, but not as much as I used to play SC1. I don't think I'll make SC2 videos because theres nothing really concrete just yet and if I did make them I'd like them to be similar to the essentials series that I made. I guess i'll reassess where I'm standing when things calm down for me.

  • @ArtofStarcraft Plus SC2 isn't just nearly as awesome, hehe

  • I really love your music taste...

  • OMG MY FAV SONG BYOB

  • You only have 7 Essentials?

  • if i research burrow, i will group the burrowed unit with my mutas. That way it will stack too! :)

  • Why use A+mouse1 instead of just mouse2?

  • With zerg if you're going with mass mutas or at least like more than 1 control group of mutas...how do you move them? is there anyway to stack 2 control groups of mutas or it has to be 2 groups, one for each controlgroup of mutas? because for a lot of FPVOD's I see mutas raping like hell and I always wonder if they just have a shitload of mutas in that one spot or if they're micro is insane.

  • @frozenchillpill Insane Micro.

  • You can also do this well simply by burrowing a unit and adding it to the hotkey.

  • Your videos are great, but I'm really past that stage of SC unit maneuvers; years of UMS games have honed my skills, hehe. Could you do more videos about advance/non-typical proxies or maybe some specific race Builds? FYI - Toss player, hehe XD

  • I prefer the mass 100 guardians tactic but that's just me.

  • What if the enemy has a unit with splash damage

  • you'll have to avoid them or unstack your units if you want to engage it

  • @celtik916 Split and micro-management

  • Comment removed

  • try that crap against my corsair fleets and kiss your air units goodbye

  • @enCODed3 who uses corsair fleets? noob tactics(unless against zerg overlords) This is for harassment mostly. ever seen 12 guardians do that? its fugly

  • if you knew anything about stacking you would know that you make a magic box when dealing with units that deal splash. Corsairs and arcons are just an example. Stacking is usually only used to harass.

  • i dont like starcraft 2, starcraft its perfect already

the creator of stacking mutualisk is july zerg

  • I don't think it's very good in offline. If you're new at playing the computer will rape you.

  • Personally, I like both games. I will still be playing sc1 while I have sc2. I kind of treat them as two different games.

  • Sorry, there's something that hasn't been mentioned in this video... When you're stacking, u do not pull them back in a straight line, rather... make a 180 degrees turn, into a 360 to come back to attack. that way they wont split up.

  • 180 degrees is a straight line

  • lol a few psi storm will make u hate stack air units forever XD (plauge works too, even ensnare)

  • Yup I get excited when I see bunch of stacked units coming my way :)

  • In case of terrans you can stack by making a tank in seige mode with the wraiths, battle cruisers, etc... In my opinion if blizzard fails with sc2 i will propose to leave the original sc as it is but put with sc2 graphics engine 3d!!!

that will be awesome a balanced game with cool graphics!!!

  • good graphics just attracts MORE noobs!

  • thats a good thing more losers to waste lol

  • @riylwarlock123 luckily sc2 is fucking amazing

  • wait why do u need a non flying unit?

  • because they will joing the other units and will not stack you can only use unupgraded overlords because they are so slow!!! use burrowed units, larvas, trapped units or tanks that are seiged!!!xD!!!

  • he said that you can use an overlord you dumbshit...

  • I think ya'll gonna suck

  • The weird thing is that what made Starcraft so great were pathing bugs...will Blizzard break their engine to get SC2 to the same level?

  • Meh, Starcraft is also known for it's almost endless combinations, but is proved time and timed again that it is balanced.

Starcraft 2 will probably leech of Starcraft BW's fame.

  • i think it is better to stack units with zerg by putting any unit like zerglings underground instead of using larvas!!

  • Awesome tips man thanks a ton. I'm just trying to improve my game before SC2 comes out so I don't look like a noob, but there's probably no hope for that, but these videos definitely help!

  • You have plenty of time, if you hadn't heard already, Blizzard has postponed Starcraft 2 until the first half of 2010.

  • yeah i hear you lol

  • lol thats the idea

  • awesome music.

  • pretty cool trick but not recommened against a hightemp lover eh...

  • Actually, its preferred against a hightemp lover, especially when playing as zerg.

Mutas can dodge storm easily and temps will waste storms on muta. Otherwise, temps will get OHKO'd by a group of 9+ muta and Protoss's ground forces will get owned by what is usually mass hydra.

  • thank you so much i've been trying to figure this out for sometime now

  • Also many thanks, as a new player to starcraft these have all been very helpful and I hold my breath for new releases.

  • Are my eyes decieving me or did that marine not move when you stacked the wraiths? If not? how are the wraiths moving?

  • can you use a burrowed unit? Thatd be mighty helpful. Burrow a ling near your hatchery

  • Yes you can; however this is only really viable if you've researched burrow for another purpose. Researching burrow solely to micro mutas isn't practical.

  • Yeah good point. Do you know if it's possible to stack Hydra, if so, how?

  • Not in standard game types, no. However there are techniques for doing it in Use Map Settings. I'm not quite familiar them, though.

  • what makes it possible in map settings? That helps, thanks. Has the technique been long outdated and fixed in later versions?

  • It used triggers - I think it involved creating units on top of an uraj crystal or something. I have no idea if it has been fixed or not.

  • "ya just read 1st comment and he has a point, i dont mind watching u play micro as u seem to have it down, but i think u should edit the vid with some explanations as to when to use mouse click, hold or partrol. also i dont know if scourge micro would fall under this section. nice tip with the trapped ling. gg "

stop being a complete retard and try to use the trick by yourself, he wont explain you when to clikc on your mouse hahahahahahaha

  • I'm using this now =D.

  • ya just read 1st comment and he has a point, i dont mind watching u play micro as u seem to have it down, but i think u should edit the vid with some explanations as to when to use mouse click, hold or partrol. also i dont know if scourge micro would fall under this section. nice tip with the trapped ling. gg

  • why not put a pro vid of jaedong raping someone with mutas?

also you dont even mention how to properly muta micro, which is done by pressing hold position when in range of the target. the purpose of stacking mutas is for the qucik hit and run as well as to conceal numbers.

  • lol yea but i mean any advice or an insider how to would be nice:P

  • A tip on how you make all 4 workers go to a different mineral a split secound after the game has started would be nice:P

  • lol that takes real skill and fast hands he cant just tell you how then you can do it

  • just practice moving your mouse very fast :P

Basically you ctrl+left click one worker, selecting them all, then right click on a mineral, then they all move at once. while they are on their way, drag your mouse and select two workers sending them to another mineral. next, single click any one of the four workers and take it to a third mineral. finally single click either of the two workers still heading toward one same mineral, and tell it to go to a fourth mineral.

  • its called cloning. u take all4 as a group and send them to a field but the discollect one by one with shift so u get a group of three ( send the to another mineral field) the a group of two (sending them to another one) and the last scv sent to another, the 4th mineral fiel. discollect the scv not themselves but on their icon on the bottom of the screen. hope i coul help..

  • thanks for these series, they are so much clearer than everything else ive watched/read please keep them coming

  • Interesting! This seems more efficient than repeatedly telling them to follow a unit in the group.

    Thank you!

  • Just getting this clear...you have to have a ground unit with the squad?

  • no it just needs to be a unit thats a certain distance away from your group. you can use slow overlords

  • burrowed zerg probably work too

  • Perfect video, perfect explanations, perfect song :d

    Thanks !

  • People are watching! Keep em coming. I'd love some tips on effecient harvesting of minerals.

  • WHOA! KOOL! I'm trying this right now!

  • Wow, these are awesome tutorials! "Hope you learned something" with 'learned' not 'learnt', though. 'Learnt' is past participle to use with 'have'... such as 'I have learnt a lot from these videos!' Some other but more minor tricks: 1) floating buildings over turrets or as baits, 2) stacking workers, 3) properly walling-in with buildings, 4) blocking sunks or cannons with workers against melee rush, 5) pushing worker/unit through mineral patch, 6) larvae creeping to the left of hatchery...

  • learnt is british-english, whereas learned is american-english. other than that there is no difference between them. Thanks for the suggestions, particularly the blocking sunks/cannons vs melee units

  • As a weak/new Starcraft player i am glad that people put up videos like these, its a shame there are only so few of them.

You´re the only abo i have so far, keep up the good work => more please :)

  • This is a great tip, I learned about it from watching some GOMTV casts from Tasteless, but it's good that you made a video about it. Five stars, brobama.

  • Great video. Great channel.

  • finally out ty so much! well i know how to do this but its been awhile

  • Very nice explanation.

  • can you go over macro? i always find that when I'm playing good micro, my macro sucks and vise versa. can you go over doing both at the same time?

  • Nice Vid. TY

  • also, when you do the wraith stack with the marine, you should use a marine that is trapped in the middle of some other marines. since the marine, unlike slow overlord or larva, moves around quickly, the wraith stack can easily be disabled with the marine getting killed, and its not very efficient to re-stack by grouping another marine

  • the marine is trapped inside the base, just like i said in the explanation

  • when you showed the grouping of muta's with the overlord, you shouldn't have. because the overlord had a speed upgrade and the only reason they ever stack with overlord instead of larva is because they need to morph the larva, and the overlord is too slow to move anywhere. if it has a speed upgrade, it means its too far into the game for muta stacking to the effect of completely dominating the terran. get it?

  • i put a clip of an overlord with speed upgrade to show that it doesn't work, just like i was explaining

  • i didnt bother because its done in every pro zvt. basically if youve seen a pro zvt in the past 2 years youve seen the technique in action

  • For terran, I group wraiths with Sieged tank, and if I am zerg - burrowed unit, if I have researched speed

  • siege tank is a very good idea, didn't think of that.

  • Thank you man, very well explained.

  • nice didn't know that's how they did it.

  • ty 4 ur vids!!

  • woooooooooooooot thanks!

  • love your videos, very helpfull
