im REALLY young (13yrs) and i have theses pains too. Its gross and disgusting! i havent had my period yet and i am somewhat of an athlete i have been researching theses pains as soon as i had found them out myself...what scary is that i woke up this morning and couldn't control my bladder, peed right on myself! any how, stay away from vitamin c, alcohol, and coffee, drink plenty of water and SEE A DOCTOR IF IT GETS WORSE! i hope i make it through this soon! :/

I have been pain in back and stomach for 6days now and I just gone to the doctor this morning. I started with pain stomach then back. and I have peeing loads today. I had antibiotic from the doctor twice today. Do you know how I get it? I don't drink alot of water how come it happens? and should i drink more water?

I had a kidney infection so bad made me stop going to the ladies room, I couldn't keep anything down, fever, it was horrible.

Turned out I was almost to the point of shutting down my kidneys and so I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, IV antibiotics galore. Liquid diet for a week and then after all that I felt fine. He told me LAY OFF OF THE CAFFEINE THAT'S WHAT IS CAUSING IT....I still drink caffeine and haven't had one since....could it really be doing that?

it seems that alcohol would help with infection, would alcohol not kill infection? i understand that it would cause more pain because anytime alcohol is put on a wound it burns but alcohol does kill infection doesnt it?

Alcohol acts as an antiseptic when topically applied to the exposed skin surface. It will not kill any infection in the kidney because the concentration in the blood would have been too low to be effective. Antibiotics are the treatment of choice.

so what does it mean when feel like i have to urinate 5 minutes after ive already gone, and it does burn a bit. i also have pain where my bladder is, not sure what its called. would this be maybe a kidney infection, urinary tract infection, or would you be able to tell wihtout a urine test? and also do you know of any home treatments? like one of my ncles said somethin about vineger helps with it.

I think bladder infection is called cystitis. Infection of the urethra (urethritis) is what causes the burning sensation. Cranberry juice is a home remedy for urinary tract infection.

thanks, thankfully i went to a doctor got some antibiotics and it went away. i drank a crap load of cranbery juice too thoughlol
