I was told future bridge will not swing anymore, it will be static concrete double track just like the mini Penang bridge next to it.Swing bridge is headache to them, just last month, it was stuck when it was opened...for 3 days straight!Passenger was transferred by bus from Bukit Mertajam to Butterworth.Imagine a loco stucked at Butterworth then, 3 days on leave.
Nice video with those classic click-clackety sound of the beaten tracks on ground and swing bridge. I wonder if double-tracking takes place, can we get the same click-clackety sound of the tracks? Also that the clagging sound of YDM also music to my ears.
