  • In movies, characters can "tell it like it is" without being fired. In the REAL political/government setting, where I worked for over 10 years, honest staff not only got fired, but black-listed & threatened w/ action by government agencies, such as the IRS for supposed "crimes." HOWEVER, in the film, Evan is not doing anything illegal, just unusual. The politicians I worked for regularly stole public funds & we were commanded to just "shut up" about it "or else!" Great Movie, though.
