You guys kill me, the reason you dont rev your engine high before its warm has nothing to do with the oil not doing its job. your engine is built to run its best at normal operating temp. metal expands and contracts when its heated and cooled. all the internal parts are made to fit best when hot. it you listen to your engine closely, its rattles and vibrates until it warms up, more noticable on older cars. 90% of your engine wear occurs during start up and warm up.

do you have a different gear ratio on there? gears seem longer
