  • This is an offensive, biased exhibit whose aim is to make a financial profit from popular fascination with the origins of Jesus and, further, to mislead the public about the current state of research on the Dead Sea Scrolls. The exhibit is biased towards a Christian perspective, and an important group of Jewish scholars have been excluded. • See the Spinoza's Lens article (linked to the right of the video) entitled "The Ethics of Exhibition: Romancing the Scrolls." Apparently, the exhibit distorts the current state of research; a major group of Jewish scholars have been excluded along with the evidence that led them to reject the moribund "Qumran-sectarian" theory; and the North Carolina Department of the Environment press release announcing the exhibit contains an anti-semitic, Christian-oriented insinuation.
