*** PS3 Users!! *** To get your NAT type to OPEN, it's trickier. You put your PS3 on the DMZ of the router, so router does not filter anything between internet and PS3. Different routers have different settings, involves assigning a static IP address to PS3, then setting that as DMZ connection in router menu. Google "Settings DMZ PS3 router".

@thekkinkproject Sure, sometimes your NAT type can says it is open but it really isn't. If this method doesn't work for you or your friend you may have to try port forwarding or triggering. This can be frustrating and annoying as sometimes the settings don't save.
