Look, I know it's weird, but I also thought that it was one of the most poignant moment in movie history. I mean the way he reacted to the guy splitting in half is just, well, fascinating and harrowing all at the same time. On a side note, I did keep repeating that scene over and over again. F/X looks OUTSTANDING!

wtf i read the book and it says that the guard hit them hard..they got into panic, the guard beats the shit out of him, and alex was in panic and wanted to save scratch and himself.

so its like a accident or just a human reaxtion with the fault by everyone

but now there is just a guard getting kicked at the railwai....

so just read the fukingbook again and you will see that there is a difference

Is what possible? To be cut in half by a train? Yes. To live after you're cut in half? Yes. How long would you live? A good 3 minutes before you bleed out entirely. You'd still have control over your upper torso muscles and arms, you'd be fully conscious if you weren't in shock. And feeling every second of it.

its possible, but not probable. theres a little sack of nerves at the base of the spine, or something. if that was still in tact movement would be possible for a little while, most people would pass out from the pain first tho, and there would be muchhhh more blood.

it's happened more than once before.

sometimes someone gets caught in the tracks when a train crosses or something and there organs will be pined in the tracks and they will be fully conscious and aware of it but feel no pain.

then the rescue team has to call all there family and friends to say goodbye before they unpin them because when they do all there organs will come lose and theres no way to save them.

it's rather tragic.
