Looks like the days of a kinder gentler venus b/4 we knew the truth. Also ironic how a winged space craft makes a vertical descent through the atmosphere. I can see a vertical landing, but not from space.
The animation is quick and cheap, but you have to admit that they did do a lot of thinking about the technical parts, ship layouts, technology, etc. Impressive for the early 60s.
@MorroccoSurrogate You couldn't get it any cheaper than this stuff,but,when I was a kid,it was good enough for me. I found out that Alex Toth basically designed all the characters for this show,he also did character designs for Hanna and Barbara ....
@jay55also - Yes it was good enough for me too . I thought Scott McCloud was the ultimate space hero. The 60s was a great time to be growing up - space travel was a big deal then with the Apollo missions etc.
Ever since I was five years old, I always loved the Starduster! I am 55 now.

This was shown on the Cadet Don show. A daily early morning show in Houston Tx back in the 60's.
