  • Ever since I was five years old, I always loved the Starduster! I am 55 now.

  • Clutch Cargo lips.

  • Tailslide reentry

  • Looks like the days of a kinder gentler venus b/4 we knew the truth. Also ironic how a winged space craft makes a vertical descent through the atmosphere. I can see a vertical landing, but not from space.

  • This was shown on the Cadet Don show. A daily early morning show in Houston Tx back in the 60's.

  • @jdsegovia23 Was that Don Armstrong on Channel 13?

  • The animation is quick and cheap, but you have to admit that they did do a lot of thinking about the technical parts, ship layouts, technology, etc. Impressive for the early 60s.

  • alex toth no wonder i loved this stuff! shades of frazetta!

  • Real mouths!

  • Even with the obscenely cheap animation (Synchro-vox!), this looks great.

  • @MorroccoSurrogate You couldn't get it any cheaper than this stuff, but, when I was a kid,it was good enough for me. I found out that Alex Toth basically designed all the characters for this show,he also did character designs for Hanna and Barbara ....

  • @jay55also - Yes it was good enough for me too . I thought Scott McCloud was the ultimate space hero. The 60s was a great time to be growing up - space travel was a big deal then with the Apollo missions etc.
