This video changed my life. And now I look back on it and I think, "Man...what a lousy video!" One of the best songs ever, but I agree, Joe was no video darling. But then again, the producers didn't give him much to work with.

twisteddsister, thanks for the Joe Jackson videos; kinda odd, how he's often cited as an artist that was hurt by the video revolution, 'cuz he was supposedly "not video oriented". The videos on your page show he was very video-talented.

funny thing with the washing washing tribute to JJ ... makes some sort of tawdry impression, man living in a "i'm the man" dream, while his one and only white shirt is getting dry on the rope, and he's watching sitcom on tv ... never seen it before (don't even think it was broadcast on french tv ever) so thanx a lot bexappeal !!

Anyway, have been a huge fan of Joe's since Look Sharp in '78. Saw him live in '95 in Melbourne when he played this track with the little amp. Very cool.

Best Album : Blaze of Glory

Runner-Up : Shared b/w "Look Sharp, "I'm the Man" and "Night and Day".

Best song : Shit, where do I start. Okay "Blaze of Glory". No, wait : "Go the Time". Ask me tomorrow.
