I believe the bottle has a warning for people with heart conditions NOT to eat it. It also says this sauce will strip hard wax finishes and remove oil stains from concrete driveways (no, I'm not making this up). I've never tried this stuff - I kinda like my stomach lining the way it is.....inside.

Little story time here lol My dad and his girlfriend LOVE hot food (more so her than him) but about ten years ago or so, they had this stuff in the house for chili and things like that. Well one day my dad was reheating a bowl of chili and then walked away for a minute. While he was in the other room I poured like a ounce or more in a small bowl of chili. I love this sauce as a mixer. by itself the flavor is a bit too extracty. almost like a chemical burn haha. I bought it at a local rib place and they looked at me like i was insane. my family has been growing hot chilies and cayenne peppers since i was little so i'm somewhat tolerant of hot sauces. I love the slow burn this sauce gies when mixed with say ketchup or bbq sauce the more u eat the harder teh burn but it grows from ur stomach up its wonderful. I do enjoy it on a toothpick sometimes

It's hot for sure and I would NOT do the chicken wing thing, but it's not as bad as I'd expected. I had a little less then Jeff when I tried it but I didn't feel true discomfort. Only thing is, it lingers quite a while, not in an "OMG my mouth is on fire way" but more in a "Hey, remeber you ate me 10 minutes ago, guess what, I'm still here to annoy you" kind of way. :)

I dipped the tip of a tooth pick in the bottle, then stirred it around in my mashed potatoes.. Man i couldn't finish them! It was riDICULOUSLY hot! And like you said, no flavor, just heat. Now the Daves Hurtin' habanero sauce is AMAZING! Just the right amount of heat, but with a GREAT flavor. And yes, milk is the best way to get rid of that heat! It's the fat in the milk masking the capsicum.

May I suggest that a hot sauce, to receive a similar perfect score, must achieve a measurable standard. For example, inability to remain standing or convulsions or loss of conciousness. I'm sure you can come up with something better than my meagre meanderings.

You should do some research into why hot sauce is hot. It is very intersting, and show you why water does not help much. bread helps a bit, but milk is the best to take the heat away.

Full fat milk and plain mint toothpaste have been proven by the Mythbusters team to be the most effective at stopping the pain. I don't know why toothpaste works but i know that the fat in milk neutralizes the capsicum. Milk is also alot more pleasant to take a big mouthful/gulp of.

You can actually make that Chinese mustard hotter. Just add hot water to denature the capsacin. That wasabi you see in the tubes isn't real wasabi. It's just green coloured horseradish. Real wasabi is a root that's quite expensive and not easy to get outside of a specialty Japanese shop.

Jeff, from one hot sauce lover to another: Milk is good, but if you really want to kill the heat, eat a slice of bread. The bread soaks up the oils of the hot sauce and your saliva and transports it out of your mouth. Finish off with a sip of milk, and you're good to go.
