  • Now it's an RV-3.5

  • too fast

way too fast on the grass

way too fast on the grass with the nose so firmly planted on the ground

  • any landing you can crawl away from....

  • The cause of this accident was due to a fault with the nosewheel design, not over breaking. The aircraft has since been repaired and is now back in the air again.

you can see more video's of this incident on youtube at...

  • or by typing in the search.... Plane crash Vans Rv7a

  • in my lessons we learned to keep as much pressure off the nose wheel in soft fields. i guess this guy didnt get that memo did he?

  • Does holding *up* elevator (yoke back) help with this problem? I'm a Grumman driver which is a somewhat similar animal.

  • that's rough, hope the pilot was ok. this is the reason I will never build a nose gear RV. van's planes are great but the nose wheel is useless and unsafe for anything but paved strips.

  • A gal bought an RV here recently and she was a very good pilot. She took the plane from KAWO, with her niece, over to a small airport in Camano Island, but before landing she had a problem with the engine. She was forced to land short of the airfield in another field, and the plane flipped over, killing the pilot and her niece. Very tragic.

  • pressed the breaks to hard i guess

  • It's an RV7A, dummies.

    Not funny at all.

  • Damned groundhogs!

  • Dugg.
