The animators REALLY paid attention to detail in this movie. Take a look at how Gulliver's eye moves when he wakes up...you can even see the subtle movement of the eye beneath the eyelid! Such a classic cartoon and amazing animation for such an early movie. One of my early childhood favorites!
Boffgirl, Johnathan swifts book has the egg bit instead of the song as the reason the little people went to war. The movie used the 2 songs to do the same thing-create a reason for hostilities.
The egg argument was, which end was broken to eat it from- the narrow end or the wide end.
First thing it's nicer when hetero men can also be al little bit femalelisch in thair behaviours. Besides there exists realy heteromen who are femalelisch.
Secount thing I get the blues when gays are always casted as the clicé femalelisch men. The most gays are in realety just men like hetero-men.
I'm agree with you about the book. In the book Gullifer meets more than onley little people. He meets also gaints. The most facinating point in the book was a frakcal-theorie. Perhaps for gaints exist bigger gaints who are gaints for the gaints and for the lilliputs can exists maller people than they are. In this book, it could exist in the continuity. I hope my explanations are clearly enough. I know it's fantasy, but no less interesting than real science I think.
this is the best gulliver i seen compared to the others and gulliver is soo cute and i love his smile and i feel sorry for gabby when he gets picked up by gulliver XD
How did the Lilliputians understand what Gulliver was saying, even in the book they spoke different languages, and Gulliver had to learn from them. How?
Was the "It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day" Gabby's theme song or something? Or maybe a hit single? I know when I was a kid in the 60's and they reran the old Gabby shorts that was the theme music they played. I wonder if it originated from this movie first?
Haha! One thing I like about Gulliver especially in the Ted Danson one, is he is always curious almost to the point of being sometimes oblivious to danger! I wonder how people would react in a moment like this one?
I think it might have been cos i was so little and just the thought of someone being that big is very scary. the first time i saw it i didn't know the story so i didn't really know that he wasn't just gonna eat em all or something horrible like that!
They will never EVER be able to paint like this again.

In the book, the argument was over how the 2 citys people ate eggs.
In this movie it was about 2 songs

It's really strange of how all the little people are so cartoony while big Gulliver looks real and kinda flat looking (like the clothing).
