Wrong. Their step-father is the Polish miner Kowalczyk. Their father (Veldpaus) died of a disease called 'Hodgkin' when the 3sisters were very young.

The blond lead singer is Toni Veldpaus (born 1953), her oldest sister is Marianne Veldpaus (the red-haired, born 1951) and the brunette is Betty Dragstra-Veldpaus (born:1952).

In the beginning Betty was the lead singer; their record-company choose Toni as the lead.

Today the 3 sisters live in or near Brunssum - Holland.
