I think I know an easy way to stop Scarf Kyogres untimely reign:

Bring a Pokemon with Water Absorb and a Lantern with Volt Absorb. That way, Kyogre can't effectively attack you!!

palkia: surf over water pulse mewtwo: thunderbolt, aura sphere, or me first instead of thundershock. Tyranitar: dragon dance, rock slide, or stone edge instead of rock throw. Dragonite: get rid of fly and rock smash, and pick either outrage or dragon claw, but NEVER have both. Salamence: dragon claw, outrage, or dragon dance instead of dragonbreath. Metagross: zen headbutt instead of psychic and something else instead of hammer arm, try agility.

the reason why salamence has outrage is because it learns it by egg moves breed dragonite(male)and salamence(female)and after few egg hatchs there will be a bagon with both parnet moves(example=dragon rush,outrage,dragon dance,and earthquake)i hope this helps!

You could try sending first Forretress out, use toxic spike 3 times if you can and maybe Stealth Rock and if he's stil alive then explode. Important to train Forretress defence and sp defence to the max. ;)

Than you can give Skarmory a try by using Substitute and use Stealth Rock if Forretress was'nt able to before he fainted. From that point use Roar. Just Roar until you win or Skarmory fainted. Importend to max out Skarmorys hp and speed. Whats out for Rapid Spin.Suc6

A trick would be to either CS something faster with and electric move to weaken Kyogre to lower Water Spout's damage, and then keep kyogre around yellow or red hp levels... then just focus on killing the 2nd pokemon he has with double attacks since Kyogre is effectively removed from combat and blocking one spot. In doing so, you can make this a 2 on 1 battle, and just finish off kyogre once you have defeated his other 3 pokes.

That's part of another of my strategies: my Choice Scarf Espeon using Grass Knot, combined with either Ambipom, Jolteon or Yanmega.

Choice Scarf Modest Jolteon is nice as well, but I want one with Hidden Power Grass or Ice, 65 of base power at least.

With regards to Kyogre, he's pretty simple to handle. If you send in both first pokes that resist water moves, Kyogre will lock in on a move other than water spout. If you send in some sort of sacrificial poke that will for certain die to WS in one hit, he'll choose that every time.

If you have Diamond, he has Palkia and Kyrogre... if you have pearl, he sends in Kyogre and Dialga.

I fought his other team, using ubers myself. At the time I had no good Pokemon on Pearl other than these guys and I don't care if it's cheap; I was only in it for the rare berry. He sent out Groudon and used Cherrim. If I let his Cherrim live, it would be basically fighting one powerful Pokemon at a time, making it 100x easier. This team, he doesn't use Cherrim. So it's probably much harder. Weather manipulation will help tremendously. Bring a Groudon if you can. He will suffer!

One other thing. He used the exact same team against me, except it was Kyogre, Manaphy, Latios, and Palkia in that order. My team was Palkia, Toxicroak, Electivire, and Lapras.

When I was selecting Pokémon at the beginning of this battle, I was more worried about Mewtwo that any other Pokémon, because if Mysterial decided to begin with it, my strategy would with Weavile doing nothing (his Mewtwo is Timid, so Weavile couldn't stand a chance).

Beating Mysterial (regardless of his choices or order) is easy, but I was tired of using the same strategies: Jolteon with Choice Scarf, Blissey, Sceptile with Focus Sash, any Pokémon with Water Absorb/Dry Skin, etc.

I beat him with one uber, that being Palkia. He ended up stalling with Manaphy (Rest + Hydration) against my Lapras. Luckily, it ran out of Rest and Ice Beam PP and kept using Calm Mind while I chipped away at it's health with Psychic and Thunderbolt until it was in the red, then used Surf to end it.
