  • why make this video in black and white? want to fool people to think that you are bruce lee? bruce lee is the legend!

Nice strength you have though, good work.

  • @chanfelix I didn't want to get recognised back than, black and white gave me a better cover :) Now I don't care about that anymore, I'm in the newspaper and if someone I know watches my videos, I'm find with that.

Besides that, I liked to get an original video. My color videos were of poor quality as I made them with my cellphone back then.

  • what did you start with to build up to the strenth to do these

  • @99davedisco Nothing actually. I did a few abdominal workouts when I was younger. It requires some basic strength, but nothing spectacular.

  • really good man. thats what i need for the low part of the back. flexibility, but also theres a mental atttitued that i need to look, why i send my resistance there.

    saludos, from Argentina.

  • It strengthens many different parts of the human body. Pectoralis major and Forearm Flexors.

  • I do these in one of my exercises for abs too these shits are intense by 15 reps feel like my abdominals are going to rip out of my skin lol

  • I can do this .. not easy at all and it takes months of practice, training and dedication. When I do it (been doing for years now) my head still feels like it will explode, but I've never done the "fart" thing though.

  • I can do this .. not easy at all and it takes months of practice, training and dedication. When I do it (been doing for years now) my head still feels like it will explode, but I've never done the "fart" thing though.

  • stallone is doing theese in his 60s, and im not joking

  • @MajkeTiTvoje I'll need to wait 40 years to do that, so on that part I have to admire it. Jack Lalanne was also a true legend, you should search him on the web.

  • @jlvi13 He invented the jumping Jack.I saw a memorial muscle and fitness magazine did , he was pretty amazing.

  • I tried this at home and my abs exploded like an airbag. And a mute-trumpet fart escaped like a single bee leaving its hive.

  • how old were u when you made this vid?

  • @vince200823 Almost 18 or something. Now I'm 20.

  • BAH I MADE 500 OF THOSE AND WITH 100LBS ATTACHED TO MY LEGHS.

  • @MrElmataviejas Sure, sure.

  • Doing good, but the proper way would to keep your legs straight, no bending the knees. One straight line- from chest to toes.

  • @lynxconstruction It's the very same thing, but if you want to see it with straight legs for esthetic reasons you can click on the link in the video to watch the remake.

  • @lynxconstruction Ok Sir!!

  • not to sound weird, but your body looks exactly like mine. I do hardcore ab exercises almost everyday.

  • @Sherpaful My body doesn't look like this anymore :) It's been 2 years ago since I made this one.

  • Talk about tricking you. lol

  • Does this exercise help you do better, stronger, faster, harder high kicks?

  • @GregoryTheGr8ster No, not at all.

  • @jlvi13 yes it does all strong, fast and hard kicks comes from a healthy and strong core in other words fatties cant kick. you need abs and training of course. greetings

  • @daxplil A strong core will, but this is not a good exercise to properly develope a good core. That's what I think. If you can't kick according to the correct technique you just can't kick, no matter how strong your abs are. A fattie can still kick hard, because he can have incredibly strong abs underneath his layer of fat. Sure, his stomach might get in the way, but other than that you made the wrong assumption. This exercise makes the core stronger, but it's not the best core exercise

  • @daxplil yeah but according to Gregorys question it does help for better, stronger, faster, and harder kicks.... not higher as you need to stretch your leg tendons. but you get the idea :)

  • Isnt this work out bad for your spinal cord??? O: just curious.

  • @dakilas11 I wouldn't recommend to do it on a regular base. I usually don't do this exercise.

  • @jlvi13 whats a good back exercise, anyone out there

  • @ffztu9865 Deadlifts if you are more experienced with weightlifting. Otherwise hyperextensions on the floor or with a special hyperextensions machine at the gym.

  • Is it the only exercise you do for abs??

and...How many dragonfly exercise abs you did when you started and how many series?

  • @aldomorales92 Actually this is one of the only exercise I never do.

So I don't do this exercise, because I also think this is not a very great exercise for working out and gaining muscle.

  • Dis guy must be strong as vodka !

  • @tgaston100 Haha, vodka never touched my lips though!

  • go see sly stallone...65yo training.

  • quite impressive

  • your legs are not striaght, so its easier but still quite impressive

  • @jk205ful Watch the remake of this video (see link in the big orange box!)

  • @jlvi13 dude beast work out, well it seems like it. maybe i can finally get that 8 pack. i have a six pack but i see for some reason another set of abs... i don't know if thats normal.(no i'm not fat)

  • @Mrrunescapeaddict100 Not everybody has the ability to get 8 pack abs. It depends on the fact if you HAVE '8 pack abs'. Some people don't have that many 'blocks' on their abdominal section. Hope I explained it properly.

  • @jlvi13 oh dude thanks, i never knew not everyone can get an 8 pack, where did you find that out?

  • @jlvi13 so i'm guessing i am one of the lucky ones but how did you figure that out or know that?

  • @Mrrunescapeaddict100 Just anatomy and experience. I have seen people that didn't have the potential to develope real good 8 pack or 10 pack abs, but that did have very low body fat.

  • Move the box with your toaths

  • very goood!! BRUCE LEE lets go forever!!

  • 5 *****

  • Please understand I am just trying to explain that

if you put your mind to anything you do you can

achieve your greatest desires... Bruce Lee has proven this many times when

people have doubted him and their were indeed many people who did those

who say it is impossible only say because they cant do again please understand

    : )

  • @JerseyBoy9220 Oh yes, I definitely agree with that, but I think the word 'everything' is way to big. Our brain and body is able to do way more than we think.

  • @jlvi13 Hey man, with all this new Youtube stuff, I don't know how to PM you. Help?

  • @ScudRunnR I'll send you a message to explain it, just give a reply to it and you can ask what you want.

  • I think this is very bad for the lower back. If you want to work on abdominals, there are more concentrated-safer ways to achieve results.

  • By all means @jerseyboy9220 i think you are wrong ANYTHING is possible, but your trying to be the smart one here when no one asked. This exercise will only hurt if you lack back strength it wont get you later in years.

  • no matter what u do u will never be the same as bruce lee no one

  • @amiro96a I'm not that big of a fan of Bruce Lee as most of my viewers. He has inspired me for a while, but I have completely different goals than he had and I'm not interested in trying to be the same as him.

  • very true but nothing in this world is impossible

the road to a thousand miles begins with just

    one step

  • @JerseyBoy9220 We'll never travel with the speed of light, that is proven to be impossible. So saying 'nothing is impossible' isn't right.

  • @jlvi13 Large hadron collider this week shot a neutrino faster than the speed of light disproving one of the most fundimental theorys of physics. I get what your saying but this week of any week in history is probably the worst you could have picked to make a comparison against the speed of light :p Seriously good training though:) keep it up!

  • @alexhughes24 1 single neutrino is not the same as a human being, let alone an airship. It will never happen that WE will travel with that speed. A collider has perfect conditions to do such things.

  • @jlvi13 maybe I was just being difficult lol :p Still they thought even that was impossible even a year ago so maybe one day the possibility of travel at light speed will not appear so impossible :P Either way epic training mate and well done, I really enjoy your videos

  • @alexhughes24 True, there might be some chance it will ever happen, but I still hardly think that will ever happen. Would be pretty unrealistic if people could travel that fast, techniques will develope fast, but I wonder if our bodies will ever adjust to moving what that speed. I think you'll instantly die.

  • @amiro96a holy shit, give the guy a break, hes inspired by the philiosophies of Bruce Lee,he does this exercise and he is trying to imitate or out do Bruce Lee? Your an idiot!

  • @amiro96a agree :)

  • @amiro96a No, he will be better.

  • @amiro96a anyone with the right amount of determination and perserverance can best bruce lee. He was human not a superhero, if bruce lee can do it, anyone can.

  • @amiro96a I told you several times not to say obvious things!

  • @amiro96a you neither ;)

  • @amiro96a that's failure talk ,ur already talkin negative ,then well never get as good as him, talk positive,u can accomplish anything ,bruce lee didnt talk negative,he aimed for the skies, kept trying

  • lol this is hilarious, currently i have no chance in hell doing this exercise.. its too hard.

  • That is awesome!

  • That is awesome!

  • Did anybody else keep hearing Duke Evers chanting "NO PAIN!"?

  • @Desmond8043 Oh ya!!! Rocky!!!!

  • No matter how strong your back is, if you do this ab excercise on a regular basis, u will suffer for it in later years... serious back issues will ensue.

  • @mattskis84 That's why I don't call this an exercise, but rather a skill. I never do it on a regular basis, only for videos like these. It's why I put warnings in the video.

  • @mattskis84 just wondering but whats wrong with the workout i dont wanna do it and end up getting back issues

  • @strides1000 There will be a lot of stress on your core muscles, which might, or might not lead to back injuries in a later time of your life. When performing it perfectly the chance of getting injuries is always smaller though. Working out in general can be considered as unsafe, but how often do you really get injuries? I almost never and the benefits weigh up to the downsides. But, as said before, there are better ways to work out your core then with this 'skill'.

  • hi there I just wounder because when I am doing the dragon flag I get back pain do you maybe know why?

  • @ps3nikola Because it's not a good exercise for your lower back. If you lack back strenght you can't do this exercise without pain. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do this exercise in a workout routine. It's not extremely effective and it puts a lot of stress on your spine.

  • @jlvi13 ok thanks for the help

  • I think I just sprained my back haha... ow...

  • @narutomaniac100 It's why there is a warning in the beginning of this video.

  • thanks for showing this video! its actually really hard to do, but when i kept trying to do it. it became easier! thank you very much!

  • I did try this at home adn guess what bitch???.... I got hurt!

  • @Jusseppe Yeah, that's why you have eyes, to read / be aware of warnings and danger.

  • Grasshopper

research Li Jun Fan's back injury

    that should cure your monkey-shines

    Ch'in

  • BE WATER MY FRIEND ! ! !

  • DAMN DUDE! GOOD JOB!

  • @shadowmanfan Well, to cite Bruce Lee: Learn the rules, keep the rules, break the rules. To learn implies you have a teacher who shows you things which you emulate. Then, when you master everything - first then you can express yourself.

  • @slartirzr You don't have to follow everything what Bruce Lee says.

  • @jlvi13, yeah this one give you six packs.

  • @Frienever Not really, it only developes your abs, it doesn't magically burn fat, which is the first requirement for having a sixpack.

  • @jlvi13 Not true at all, you can still have a sixpack under the layer of fat :) the muscles are still there, they just aren't visible.

  • @AlphaGinga It's only called sixpack abs when you can actually see your abs. Of course everybody has the muscles for it, but without a low bodyfat percentage you should not call it a 6 pack. So to say 'not true at all' makes 0 sense.

  • @jlvi13 I think that's just subjective, if your abdominal muscles are still formulating a 6 pack, regardless of it being visible. It's still a six pack. That's like saying you don't have biceps if you have flabby arms. The muscles still exist and if you're focusing a lot on core work outs but not burning fat, you can be pretty confident that the anatomy of the 6 pack abs still exists. So how does that make zero sense I ask you?

  • @AlphaGinga It's not subjective, but I get your point. It doesn't make sense, but that's just how people say it. I didn't make it up, people only call it sixpack abs when they are actually visible. Even though everybody indeed has '6 pack' abs underneath their fat. Compare it to the sun. People always say the sun is shining or isn't shining, while it's always shining. I think that point explains it all and hope you understand I'm not making fun of you or something.

  • @jlvi13 Ofcourse I understand that you aren't making fun of me, I do realize how people choose to say it. I just don't find it logical that's all.

  • @jlvi13 Every extra pound of muscle your body has to support burns 50 calories a week. So developing muscle mass DOES magically burn fat.

  • did this at my gym onetime didnt do abs for like 4 days

  • this is brutal

  • Impressive!

  • @Scarramanga Watch my new video as well!

  • is there a proper technique to this?

or is it literally do as you see?

  • @RPD1175 This is one way to do it, click on the link of the video and see the improved form!

  • Im pretty sure this is on 1000 ways to die

  • @jessedordevicTV ;) Probably smoking, drugs and jumping off a bridge with a wire around your neck are in front of it though, because this still is healthier then those things xD

  • you are one of the few people on youtube who knows what there doin, I also own the art of expressing the human body and many more bruce lee books, i follow up on his philosophy , you should check my videos out too...ima subscribe

  • do you follow any particular diet to be so cut and lean, or you are naturally like that

  • @WantOxide No, I use a diet. Watch my newer videos as well. I'll send you the diet video I made of my diet.

  • I do these! i feel so accomplished now that i know that brice lee did them.

  • i Want wings, do u have any exercises?

  • @HevyToy Watch the Playlist for Upper back on my channel!

  • Lee's abs punched Chuck Norris in the face

  • listen right, the muscles of bruce lee result froim alot of tzhings and this is just one of them

  • @alleseitenundkeinese Yeah, eating not a lot of food and doing an insane amount of cardio and strenght training are the other 3 components of why Bruce Lee had those insane abs. There is better information about nutrition these days. I've seen his diet and it didn't impress me. He ate nearly nothing. Even I eat more, but that's what makes it so special. Without a proper diet he still managed to get that great physique!

  • @jlvi13

You forget one special training method bruce lee used to train..

there are two more methods he trained..

  • another work out add to my list..

  • Aaah, boy, dont move your legs and keep em straight!

    even if thats extremely hard

  • @Ghahu Keeping the legs straight isn't much harder then doing it like this. I saw someone at youtube doing it this way and thought it was more difficult. Actually I think neither of the variations is that difficult. I got some videos in which I do it with good form and also with one hand only.

  • Thats the same ab workout bruce did

  • @onesnowfall This is hardly a workout. It's just 1 exercise. I'll send you the link of his ab workout as it's described in the book: The art of expressing the human body.

  • impressive

dosent rocky do that in rocky 4 :)

  • @casketofdog Yeah, he does.

  • I read Bruce Lee actually lifted up until all his weight was on his shoulder blades.

Why is everyone obsessed with trying to emulate or be Bruce Lee? When he clearly states in his radio interview etc, Don't copy me! DO NOT LOOK FOR AND TRY TO DUPLICATE ANOTHER, be yourself! Express YOURSELF! Have faith in yourself!

Ask yourself:WHO AM I? try to discover yourself....Find your self...

  • @shadowmanfan Oh, don't worry, I'm definitely not trying to be like Bruce Lee. A lot of people do see him as a great inspiration and this exercise is also partly known because of him. I have made more Bruce Lee videos just as inspiration. He inspired me, but I'm really not trying to be like him :)

  • @shadowmanfan He was obviously not talking about his physical appearance...Don't try to be a smart-ass its not for you.

  • @shadowmanfan Bruce Lee didn't get to where he was by being himself. He duplicated his master's teachings to first be disciplined in martial arts. But he developed himself the way he envisioned perfection. There is no point in telling the guy off for looking up to Bruce Lee. Infact, he's not exactly the wrong guy to look up to for martial art training. Yeah, you know how to quote Bruce Lee. Congratulations to all your numb minded thumbs uppers too for recognizing an irrelevent quote.

  • @spankysteez Yeah, nobody can learn everything himself before someone else have had some influence first. A kid born in Africa will not learn English by itsself if he/she never heard of it or if nobody gave him a teaching book. We all have had our roots. Without the people who invented the computer there would be no internet. That's how life works. You're the first one to point it out, so thanks for that!

  • @spankysteez Thank you!

  • @shadowmanfan The title is obviously a way to attract views, he isn't trying to be like bruce lee he's just useing one of his exercise methods to develop a strong core... If anyone is trying to copy bruce lee hear its you quoting and saying something all ready been said, be yourself and stop trying to "be yourself" because bruce lee said to on a interview or radio.

  • @shadowmanfan Bruce didn't discover himself, Einstein did when he found out how to split an atom.

  • @shadowmanfan I don't think Bruce was talking people trying to copy his way of life... however when it comes to physical fitness i think everyone would benefit from following Bruce's work ethic...

  • @shadowmanfan ya but some things are universal fundamentals.

  • @shadowmanfan How do you discover yourself? What if what you are very Similar to the one your trying to Duplicate, but you can never say that it's your move.

  • @shadowmanfan Dude it's just an exercise.

  • @felixkjoller Haha, thanks, best comment so far! I should have said that instead of defending myself when it actually wasn't necessary.

  • Truly amazing,

  • He didn't simply do it. That takes training and days of stomach pain after wards. I can do it as well & it isn't cake.

  • @cyberhmoob I never really trained for it to be honest. I had a prett strong core before I did it and then I thought one day, let's try it! I know the form can be better (straight legs), but it's an old video. I never do them, but I could easily do them now with straight legs for about 10-15 repetitions I think. It's an advanced ab exercise, but definitely not hard if you really put a lot of effort in it!

  • @jlvi13 You're probably built for it. The rest of us are just plain bottom heavy. Bruce Lee's body was built perfectly for it too like yours. Lucky you. Bruce Lee mentioned in one of his books, I forgot which but anyways he said that a strong set of abs generates the most powerful accurate punches & well balanced round houses & knees. You ever consider martial arts?

  • @cyberhmoob I have thought about martial arts a lot. I'm flexible and I wouldn't have to practise splits anymore, because I can already do them. The thing is, that I don't want to focus on everything. I have already given up endurance, because I hated it and rather focus on building muscle and learning cool skills. I prefer a mix of freerunning and gymnastics combined with speed and muscle developement.

  • @jlvi13 gymnastics require muscular endurance and muscular strength

  • i can do that.

  • @WeaponX161 Good for you. You're not the only one, it's not really that difficult.

  • Enjoyed That Clip thanks 'jlvi13' Quotable Quotes of our Teacher Bruce Lee:"If you always put limits on yourself and what you can do. physical or anything, you might as well be Dead...It will spread into your work, your morality, your entire being. There are no-limits,only plateaux. But YOU must not stay there,You must go beyond them.If it kills you,it kills you"...

  • @NadButtLee Wasn't really familiar with this quote. Well, only the beginning though. Use no limits as limit. It's a good quote that I like to practise.

  • @NadButtLee the gospel truth

  • I hope to do that someday.

  • I have 3 words, HO LEE SHIT

  • you are the third person i've seen doing this exercise!

1st was bruce lee and 2nd was slyvester stallone in rocky 4!!! lol

credit to you, you make it look so easy but its pure hardcore!!!

    ....wish i could do it!

  • @fghcdd Thanks, there are more people that can do it though xD

  • this is my favorite exercise. so hardcore

  • wow those are harder then they look!

  • do as the video says do not try this at hime u can brake something in u if u dont know ur shit;) dangerous and sick exersize man gg

  • he says not to try at home, but guess what im about to do right now? xD

  • @SexxyKevin your about to try it at a friend's house?

  • you'r so amazing to watch....great video and exercises.....thanks so much for sharing

  • i try this today day at the gym ...its not to bad just need a little more work with it toget use to it

  • why don,t try it at home its not dangerous?

  • @faisy8 Well, for people who aren't experienced with working out this can in fact be a very hard exercise, which can cause injuries. It asks quite a strong lower back and overall body strenght.

  • Good video, you can further increase the difficulty (and increase tension to the core muscles) by keeping your legs extended during the entire motion.

  • @JosPloegmakers I usually did it that way, but in another video I saw someone doing it like this, so that's why I did it this way as well.

  • he is the best...

  • are there any methods of doing the dragonflag? I've sorta done most of the other ab exercises and I have yet to try this particular exercise

  • @littlewinger08 I never really recommend people to do dragon flags. I think they are cool to show of, but are not more effective then any other ab exercise like crunches or leg raises. I never trained for this particularly, so I can't really give you examples of how you should train for it. Try to improve your overall core strenght (so also the lower back and obliques) and make sure you have a good grip and you'll be able to do it.

  • dragon flags are also mentally challenging

  • @jlvi13 crunches are the biggest waste of time since the atkins diet. There are so many better ways to work your core. a crunch is like a bicep curl. only good for its own development.
