Twirling guy: This was a 2 baton demonstration at the "championship" level. The international cup has the events such as 1,2,3 baton solo etc.Its been concurrent with the Worlds but next year it will be on alternate year with Worlds. :)
Thanks, I don't know anything about competitions, I'm a supportive observer. So mu question was - this wasn't judged, it was just for the audience's benefit?
I think thats sad in a way. How can you expect an athlete to grow in development of skills if you dont have those kinds of events focusing on the twirling. Some kids arent tht body dominant and events such as 3 baton can give a athlete a venue to express themselves without the heavy body demands such as a freestyle.
That song brings back SO many memories of my first solo competition at the NBTA Texas State Championships back in 1996 held in Austin, Tx. I think it was called little giant, I'm not too sure I remember the name correctly.... but that march is concistently used all over the world. Especially in Baton Twirling. =)

yup. A lot of countries don't have solo twirl and/or 3 baton events.

Such a beautiful art!

Are these competition routines or just demonstrations? It's so nice to see non-freestyle routines every once in a while!

The first 32 beats after the initial fanfar are still used for USTA basic strut, or as we call it at my house - marching in a box! ;)
