Will work better if the electrodes are shielded by a tube, it keeps the plasma from blowing out! Outdoor ones are the hardest to make work...

Sry, but thats definetly not 8000V*4A=32kW.

A mot normaly deliver up to 1A, if you have 4 Mots in series, they would overheat in secounds giving 8kW or just would not make it trough.

Looks like they are extremly ballasted or you just have crappy Mots.

Its not, it has 4kW of power at 8 kilovolts. kills you in 0.0000001 of a nanosecond.
