Because back when he started doing blast beats there was no such thing was "flying fingers technique." They had to figure it out by themselves. Blast beats were a new thing to be more br00talz.. Internetz had no info to help them so they learned by trial and error. Consider yourself lucky fool :)

now i know you have only probably heard 1 or 2 songs from CC, if you actually heard mroe youd see that Paul can actually be a really creative drummer, on Evisceration Plague i was a little disapointed cause it was all pretty much just blast beats, adn even though most of death metal drumming is supposed to be like that, on the previous albums Paul did alot more stuff, hes fast enough, he has power, he can do awesome drum fills and he can also change from slow to fast instantly

I also loathe Corpsegrinder. Cannibal Corpse were awesome as shit back in the day with Chris Barnes, this George Fishead sounds like he's rapping on death metal, lol, he's pretty aggravating to me, loads of yells. Long live metal regardless.
