People kept making remarks about how thin he was when he passed and how he SUPPOSEDLY had an eating disorder, but they forget that Michael never was a big guy to begin with. I remember an interview that he did with Quincy Jones in the '80s in which he said he'd fast (for health or maybe religious reasons, I can't remember which) and lost weight in a short amount of time. I think he was at his heaviest/fittest during the "Bad" era. I think he looked pretty good here, all things considered.

I read that he was tired of the bs and had enough. It makes me wonder if he was tired of keeping the act going for so many years and wanted to just be himself without trying to be someone else that he thought people would like. It's really sad that he felt that people wouldn't love him for who he really was and felt the need to be someone that he wasn't. I'll never stop being a fan regardless of what nay-sayers have to say.

I love how Michael let down his guard and was finally able to be himself. No, fake voices, and no intentional strange behavior at all. His fans got the chance to hear him speak in his real voice and show his funny side that hardly anyone had the chance to see. I think towards the end of his life he just wanted to be himself without the fake persona. I wish he was still alive, then maybe everyone would've seen the real Michael Jackson and not the man who spoke in a soft voice and acted strange.

I just saw the film and it was exactly as I thought it would be. I wish we could have gotten more of his rehearsal process though working hands on with the musicians and the dancers. As far as people complaining that Michael's performance here is off, this is a REHEARSAL. Having worked on many productions myself, rehearsals are never spot on. He was mainly marking the songs, just gettin a feel for things. He would have been amazing during the real shows I am sure.
