I've been taught a similar slapping motion for disarmament. In my practice with another person, I haven't been very successful at it, and for that reason I'm not a huge fan. However, if successfully implemented, it is probably one of the fastest ways to disarm an attacker out there, so I'm not giving up yet!
That is a very good explanation of what I tried to show.
The idea with the fists is excellent. I choose the gunting because the inheent motorskill - the clapping - is something everybody already knows how to do. Also clapping a fly with two hands is familiar to almost anyone. Always try to built my self defens techniques around skills that are already there.
@blacksilkblacksilk sorry for the late response, I just finished moving & my internet is not set up yet. thank you for making this video! Since then we have near 10 BAC videos, with many different people contributing! Thanx for being a part of this Silk!
This is good. I think it is like a solo practice for somewhat like a sticky hand drill without a partner. LOL.This will be of great help for solo training practitioners like myself and the others who have found great value in your instructionals. Honestly, even if I have only been doing solo training for years now, against a normal streetbum , my skills from solo training will definitely help. It is only being aware that the best way is not to hesitate in using those skills. Thanks Sensei.
@TheBatahsug although sometimes not good enough, confidence to apply the stuff you train in comes from knowing that you did enough homework. Keep solo training man, you make that your friend and you will never be bored again :)
@wmpyr Thank you Sensei.will go bak 2 diz words of urs wen I'll meet some1 who talks in absolutes by saying that one cannot benefit from doing solo training.want 2 share dis-I studied in an all boys school run by the Jesuits b4 & I miss the way guys settle problems with each other back then. The arena for settling issues was the comfort room.LOL.1 friend of mine that I fought with told me "Let's settle this be4 lunch cos I dont want to fight with a full tummy. i myt get appendicitis."LOL.
@TheBatahsug lol now that guy is funny, talking in absolutes is not bad if it helps clarify things during time of confusion. but under normal circumstances it's crude ;) take care man
I'd like to mention that practicing turning the hands to use double knife hands or as u showed double hammer fist is much safer as it turns your vitals away from the knife.
Based on a straight in attack with cutting edge facing the ground. But good vid non the less. Remimber u fight the way u train.
