@dodogrko Why do you say that? Teams like Utah & Houston were better teams in that time. I don't think they would have gotten past Utah even.
And the Knicks 94 was the best team in the East. I mean, who in Sonics could stop Ewing in the middle? Or Stark's 3-pointers which even were a problem for Rockets? Plus, they had a great point-guard in Derek Harper, and a hard worker in Charles Oakley.
If it would have been Sonics Vs. Knicks in 94 Finals, I think Knicks would have won that series 4-2.
@dodogrko 63, actually. But that does not matter once you reach the Playoffs, cause mentality of the players changes there. Sonics were cocky and careless in the Denver series, and Denver punished them for it cause they underestimated their opponent despite being a #8 team. Shawn Kemp was stupid enough to say in the interviews after Game 2 that it would be a sweep. Big mistake, cause Denver proved him wrong. Guess he learned to keep his mouth shut after that.
Holy shit Rick Adleman 9:32! I know he said he wouldn't coach the Rockets next year but I really hope he changes his mind, like Phil Jackson did in '04.
jordan beat the knicks 3 times in a row 91'-93' already so do you houston fans think the rockets would beat the bulls really and dont say that 94'-95'season and why mj was not there in the finals that season he was not in basketball shape after retiering 2 years b4 also if the knicks beat pippen and the bulls in 94'ecf in a 6 game series and very tuff battle and they get beat by the rockets and the 95'magic same thing b4 mj not in shape and shaq and penny at 23 and 21 years old were not ready.
@Thekingpac2014 I think that the 94 rockets could give the early bulls from 91 -93 a very hard time. Jordan greatest SG of all time Hakeem greatest center of all time. Plus both teams had great roleplayers off the bench. That Rockets team was very underrated
@ryler05 Yeah the dream would have killed cartwright but if the bulls went small with horace on hakeem with pippen or kukoc at the 3/4 with jordan at the 2 and b.j. at the guard i think the bulls would have handled them. (remember kukoc had just come over and jordan didnt give any notice when he retired and that yr's bulls still put up a good fight against the knicks without m.j.)
@ryler05 And I think every body on the planet had problems stopping MJ. lol and mad max and smith would not have stopped mj, and mario okay he might slowed mj down but then would and hell was going to guard scottie? The rockets would have had problems getting the ball to hakeem, with BJ, MJ and Scottie at the wings the rockets don't have an answer. Ewing killed the bulls but the knicks kept losing, why guard play their gurads would have struggled like NY did for all those years against the bulls
@atm1919 Ok Actually vernon maxwell could gaurd mj very well MJ once said "The 2 players I had the hardest time scoring against was Joe Dumars and Vernon Maxwell. Hakeem was a better center than Ewing for sure. Mad max held Jordan to only 9 points in one game. MJ also said that he would put Hakeem as greatest center of all time. Plus Houston was Clutch city they had heart. Knicks were not clutch at all more like choke. Not saying houston would win but people cant just say the bulls would win
@ryler05 Wow I would love to hear that sound bite giving mad max that much credit. Also I checked the numbers Maxwell never held jordan under 10 pts. In fact the fewest pts mj had on max was 16 when max was with the spurs in 97. Also in the h2h match up mj only avg 30.6 with a 49.8% from the field and 42.6 3pt% 5.9 reb and 4.9 assist against max. I agree Hakeem was better than Ewing but as I said I think the Hoston wings would have struggled to get him the ball. I mean the Bulls without...
Respond to this video... mj still took the knicks to 6 games. If the Bulls could do that without mj im sure they would have knocked off the knicks with MJ. That being said it took the rockets 7 games to knock off the Knicks which were not as talented the Bulls with MJ. And I'm glad hoston beat the knicks with "heart," and "clutch." That being said how can you use that argument against the Bulls then? I mean you did watch MJ kill the Sonics and Jazz right even with the flu?
just being real if mikes dad didnt die rockets would have been destroyed just sayin it might have been a 6 game sereies dont get mad at me 4 saying this but its the truth okay they beat the spurs with the season MVP david robinson and the suns but the beat NY by luck the dream clearly outmatched ewing in the 94'finals but it was john starks that didnt pass the ball in game 6or7 and that just F them up and who were the knicks they almost got beat by chi town without jordan soooooo.
@Rainieruf jordan would have been at the height of his physical powers, i'm seeing da bulls over them rockets all day and everyday, and i'm guessing that you are too
@xraistlin83x actually the rockets were the team the bulls had a problem with the year before, even MJ said it himself. They were like 3-1 verses the bulls in the 92-93 regular season i think.
@xraistlin83x the rockets won the 1995 championship WITH JORDAN IN THE LEAGUE. MICHEAL JORDAN WAS WHIPPED AND OUTPLAYED BY PENNY HARDAWAY IN THE 95 FINALS. TSK TSK. TOO BAD.
@markyz99 excuses exuses. he was out outplayed by penny hardaway. no exuses. thats like saying after getting your ass whipped in a real fight "i lost cuz my back hurt" no excuses.
Chill out dude. I'm stating a fact, not an excuse. Jordan was not the same player in 1995 when he came back in midseason. Look at what happen in the 1996 playoffs. Think about what might have been if Jordan never retired.

what do you think , who has sweeter shooting stroke, between these players, reggie miller, ray allen, kobe brayant, allan houston, glen rice and Jordan?
Rockets should have faced MJ and the Bulls in 1994 and 1995. It would have been a more better match up and a true test for Hakeem the Dream. Ewing and Shaq are not worthy opponents for Hakeem. The real opponent is truly MJ, HIS AIRNESS. Hakeem can then prove he can prevent MJ from getting his 4th straight championship in 1994 and a 5th straight ring in 1995.
i strongly disagreee, olajuwon wouldnt have spent that much time guarding mj, the ample time he spent guarding ewing and young shaq solitify his stamina and strength.
well, they would if only mj's bulls had enough balls in playoffs 95 to beat the Shaq's Magic. they lost 4-2 to orlando which was embarrased with sweep by The Dream's and Clyde's Rockets.

How can u count that when MJ just came out of retirement and only played 17 games! I already know what ur gonna say but he scored 55 on the knicks in MSG, my reply to that is he also had a 12 pt gm against the 76ers in chicago so if u want too count that as him beeing back but I have too say what he did the next season was pretty impressive 72-10, MVP and they swept the magic in the rematch and they beat the sonics 4-2 in the finals the same sonics who swept the rockets that year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah dude, but we;re talkin; 94 and 95 here. at that time Rockets was lihgtyears ahead the others. i'm not questioning His Airness greatness here, but these two seasons was meant to be The Clutch City time.
I think 95 was meant too be with the rockets but 94 naw the bulls were too strong and they were still deep? Don't forget the bulls owned the knicks and w/out mike in 94 it took the knicks 7 games too beat the bulls! I don't see it happening no way in hell rudy t out coaches phill jackson in a 7 game series!
I think that the Bulls would've four peated in 1994. But in 95 with Drexler, Olajuwon, and that deep bench, the Bulls never would've had a chance. The Bulls had the bench in 94. That's why they pushed the Knicks to the limit. But in 95, the Bulls didn't have a bench. If they did, the Magic would've never beaten them in the playoffs.
what do you think , who has sweeter shooting stroke, between these players, reggie miller, ray allen, kobe brayant, allan houston, glen rice and Jordan?
just think if the rockets would have went through with the trade on draft day in 84 when they picked hakeem, they coulda traded ralph sampson to the blazers for clyde drexler and the 2nd pick after they had just picked hakeem they woulda picked MJ with the 2nd pick because they had a strong interest with him as well.
they would have won so many titles together if they had developed into the players they turned out to be.
hakeem, my all time favorite, would bring it to any center in todays league. i LOVED watching him play, his footwork, his touch, his defense, were all amazing. Best all around center to ever do it.
The houston rockets are the only team in NBA history to beat 4 different 50 win teams in the playoffs to win the championship (1995). Thats the hardest road to the title in NBA history. Anyone who says that's a "gimmie' doesn't know what the fuck their talking about.
what do you think , who has sweeter shooting stroke, between these players, reggie miller, ray allen, kobe brayant, allan houston, glen rice and Jordan?
We need our uniform from the 90's back when we won our titles. With that uniform we look like a BASKETBALL TEAM even if we suck. With the Uniforms we have now we look like shit we look like a horrible basketball team even if we good. We need to vote to get our uniforms back.

my best friend refers 2 the Rockets back 2 back titles as "gimmes" I disagree, with the G.O.A.T. out of the league, Hakeem just proved that he was the BEST player in the NBA
what do you think , who has sweeter shooting stroke, between these players, reggie miller, ray allen, kobe brayant, allan houston, glen rice and Jordan?
i was so proud of this team and even more so of the them the next season..they were 47-35 the sixth seed and they won the championship..it was great i saw almost every playoff game..so proud

my best friend refers 2 the Rockets back 2 back titles as "gimmes" I disagree, with the G.O.A.T. out of the league, Hakeem just proved that he was the BEST player in the NBA
