Why wouldn't he? Socialized health care is one of the fastest way to increase the dependency of the people on it's government. In other words it's on of the quickest and biggest steps towards socialism possible.

Look at what Russia, China, and other such countries have done. They have all done something like this.

In places like canada and western europe, universal health care "socialised as you would call it" is something that works great and we are proud of, in fact one of the greatest canadians, Tommy Doughlas, was the guy that got universal healthcare started in canada, he is a national hero.
